Y'know, somehow I think Tomoyo's story - especially "Tomoyo After" - would make a good live-action drama, especially since the total lack of "supernatural stuff" (I guess that tidbit might be a minor spoiler) makes the drama even more realistic and easier for audiences to relate to.

@aliultimate009 I actually looked it up. You're right, the vocal came first, and it initially didn't have anything to do with "Tomoyo After." It came from a concept album called "Love Song" by riya. All the songs on that album, in order, tell the tale of "love as it heads toward ruin" (maybe a couple from a day they meet 'til they break up?), and it was the last song, the "epilogue." The album was released ~4 months before Tomoyo After, and that song was rearranged and used in the VN's OST.

@aliultimate009 I think it's probably because they never animated it, and the game's translation was never finished so it's not that well known, at least outside Japan. The only way to get through the story in countries like the USA would be to get and read the manga. That's why I said in my other comment that I wish they'd make a live-action version. "Tomoyo After" would make a great TV drama.

@aliultimate009 The OVA that get animeted was the Tomoyo Chapter, the Tomoyo After is set after this one...and it's more tragic than the that.... :'(

@animewarrior3 Well, here is what has been translated: the game, anime, and manga for "Clannad" itself including the "Kyou" and "Tomoyo" chapters and "After Story." As for "Tomoyo After," the manga has been translated by Manga Fox but they never animated it and the game's translation was, sadly, left unfinished. ><
