Its short sighted to just think that dairy farming is bad, lots of farmers love their animals, but I know there excists animal cruelty in this sector, probably more in counties with low milk prices, but thats part of my point. Consumers and whole salers etc, care only about the price, promoting large scale and intensive dairy farming. To solve this problem more public regulation and rules (or better, by UN) are neccesary. Countries not following these rules should not be able to export milk/meat
I'd like to start an awareness group really pushing the disgusting and cruel treatment of dairy by products--baby cows and goats. I really dont' think the average person when told the complete truth can honestly still support it. There is a better way. You don't have to stop drinking milk, but you should speak up about the baby animals disgarded and the fact the dairy cows are so over used.
I grew up next door to a dairy farm and while this particular farmer was good to his cows, it never dawned on me what happened to the babies. I just never thought about it. I would see them one day, and the next time, they would be gone. then we were served veal in school and I still didn't think about it being baby cattle. Now I'm all grown up and I know what happens. If I had known then, I probably would have cownapped as many babies as possible and hid them! Proud to vegan...forever!
é uma pena que as pessoas patrocinam isso por mal hábito alimentar, e por falta de informação, e quando tem a informação já esta tão incluindo nesses hábitos que fica difícil de sair deles, ai eles fecham os olhos para a realidade e continuam consumindo...
We should never eat animals. This is the result of humans that insist on dairy & beef. All I can say, is how dare they! How dare they consider another being inferior, to stand in its own excrement, eat, whatever & whenever they are told to eat. Chained around the neck, impregnated continually & milked constantly.
All for what, to see the sad reality that you humans must endure in the long run... its called, cancer, heart disease, diabetes & obesity. I call it *the animals ultimate revenge*
@MrJoshua2626 WTF???? You will die with it! You have obviously never done the research, because if U did, U would know for a FACT that consuming dairy promotes cancer cell growth, in particular prostate & dairy. Dairy is a health benefit for their baby calves, nothing more. Consuming this bovine body fluid full of pus, blood & hormones is the least of your worries. U should be concerned about antibiotics, additional growth hormones (posilac) as well as mad cow & para-tuberculosis. Drink up.
Really then your bones must be very weak. There is calcium in dairy you need, now I don't drink whole milk but I do drink fat free. Same stuff without the fat. Don't even try to tell me wrong, I'm a 4th generation rancher. So I know.
@MrJoshua2626 Your ranching knowledge does not translate to nutrition. Kale is a better source of calcium than milk. No other species drinks the milk of another species, and no other species drinks milk at all past infancy. Everything about us drinking cow's milk is completely unnatural. And unnatural things are unhealthy to our bodies.
There's a stereotype people keep puttin out not sayin you, but ya the calves in this video that were resuced from that farm. The farmer just didnt give a shit about em. There are good and bad ranchers/farmers. Just I hate it when people put us good ones with the bad ones.
Hey jackass, I know where the hell my dairy comes from. It aint got all the shit in it like hormones and crap. Im a 4th generation rancher, for years since the 1800's my family has been surviving on meat and dairy products from our cattle we own on our ranch. Its all homegrown grass fed cattle. NOT HORMONE INJECTED! Like they are with processed meats and dairy.
@MrJoshua2626 Well good for them. The fact is that you do not have an ethical right to the products of someone else's labor. You steal the milk and the flesh from these cows, which basically makes them slaves. You're probably a nice person, but you are engaged in slavery.
Im just puttin food on the table for my kids. So they have something to eat and its not just meat all the time. Actually very seldom, cause of economy and prices ive cut down on production of my cows. Hell there are tons of cows being used for meat and not just meat. That shampoo you use, that hair gel. They use pig lard which makes your hair look shiny and nice. Mostly everything we own has animal by product. Shoes, basketballs, footballs. The list goes on.
@MrJoshua2626 You're right that there are animal products in many things. But there are versions of pretty much everything that does not include them, and it is not hard to purchase those versions. My shampoo and shoes are not made with pieces of someone else's body. Sometimes these things are more expensive and sometimes they're not. One of the best places to find vegan shoes is Payless. I definitely understand you're doing what you know. We all are... and we all cause suffering.
The day I first saw a veal calf and understood the violence and injustice of the dairy industry, I went Vegan, and I will be Vegan forever. I love cows, and all species. They are so important, and it is beautiful to see them live in peace <3
closing shot of the poor dairy cows try to kiss each other to make the pain better is most powerful. so sad our unjust world. so sad for so many: humans and animals.

@wp90NL If a farmer loves her animals, she won't steal their bodies or the products of their bodies. Milk is for baby calves, not humans.
