  • I owned all 5 Star albums once upon a time, some jerk's family stole it. Why did you leave us :'(

  • i used to LOVE this group. is is just me or does anyone else notice that wayward hair sticking out of Denise's hair on the album cover featured in this video?.

  • My only comment is - if you were born in the 'era' then any comments i will welcome! i was born in this era and this music is brill. If however you were not born in the 'era' then its not worth making a comment really. No disrespect as you cant help when you were born x

  • @MultiKerryberry

I know exactly what you mean..... what's the matter with lovely music and really good dancing? Nothing in my eyes....but I was an eighties teenager....Nik Kershaw, Adam Ant, Wham....what can I say? ....

  • GHOST DAD !

  • You should really find someone who can convert the 8mm coverage of your performance to digital so that you can share it here. I have to admit, you did sound amazing like this group. I'm still going to find a way to get you drunk enough to perform again. And you know I will! LOL

  • @aaliyahmarie1984 That's not going to happen. But thanks for the compliments, Liyah. Just be glad that I even showed you and the others the footage in the first place. You're pushing it with wanting another public performance. The only place I sing these days is in the shower. :)

  • @dantecael are you American or Brit? Trying to imagine which side of the pond this story happened. I ask because I'm not sure how much American exposure Five Star had...? Superb superb band...

  • @superAweber I'm American. I grew up in Detroit. They had great exposure from their previous hits "All Falls Down" and "Let Me Be The One". Keep in mind that a song can be popular in one area of the States and not in others. Back then all it took was calling in to a radio station to have a song played. Artists got discovered that way (before the internet). The ballad was popular on the radio for a few weeks in late '87after the talent contest and thats when I started getting comparisons.
