I think saying the Mc like muck makes more sense coz you say like irish surnames like McReedy you pronounce it like 'muck' - reedy. But I do say 'mac' donalds, i dont know where the 'mick' comes from.

No Wal-marts no, but I believe they own a supermarket chain here called Asda ... but Asda has been around here for decades. I just have a feeling that Wal-mart bought them. Tesco is our equivalent I think.

They have the power to arrest yes, they are basically there to protect the Queen but they have become symbols of tourism in London now. They do have a function but yeah ... I guess they are pretty much for show these days!
