After watching your entire review of this game...I'm most likely going to be flamed/trolled for this, but...I actually liked this game. I owned a copy and played it quite frequently. I may have been a lucky buyer, as I experienced almost none of the problems I saw in the review, and I even beat the arcade ladder a few times. But I will admit, I experienced many a frustrating moment while playing, so I can't say it's perfect. But awful? I wouldn't say that either

For example, Back, Back, and Punch for Scorpion's spear - didn't work. Down, Forward, Punch for Sub-Zero's freeze - didn't work. Forward, Forward, Punch for Liu Kang's fire - didn't work. Forward, Forward, Kick for Liu Kang's flying kick - didn't work. Forward, Forward, Punch for Reptile's acid spit - didn't work. See what I mean? Also, the AI is cheap. Not hard.

well the game's pretty bad, but u have to admit that your are overreacting over little detail like the select sound in the beggining, it was pretty decent and even pretty cool. And even if you can't make special move, you could make a better fight, you're a pretty bad gamer. Yeah the game sucks, but you too.

Are you kidding me? The DS version is MILES better than the GBA version. The DS version actually FIXED the A.I. and the difficulty isn't such a pain in the ass like in MKA. In MKA, your opponent attacks you nonstop on normal and hard difficulty while on easy, he or she just stands there. This does not happen in UMK for the DS. It's a near-perfect port of UMK3.

after you beat your oponent you have a chance to do a "fatality" so that 5 seconds time span after you beat your opponent, you can use it to execute a fatality or a brutality...its basically like a finisher except each fighter has there own unique fatality...its in every MK game even in the current ones

Yes on the emulator, No on the problem. I only used the emulator to record game footage. I've played it on the GBA.

It's that fucking bad. Emulators make little to no difference in the gameplay.
