i think a splitter valve is next for me, nice blend of sound and function, im hopin for 230 bhp from that GIAC chip im gettin in a coupla days, hopefully with some 225 TT 386cc injectors and a carbonio intake 60-270 bhp??

with hp numbers like that I take it you have B6? I have B5. I'm running apr 93, FMIC, custom headers/exhaust, S4 ignition coils, 2.0 aba bottom end (more torque). I swapped this motor into a 96 jetta so I'm running a 02a transmission from a vw golf, I just had it rebuilt. I'm pushing 15 psi stock turbo...never dyno'd but I think it has around 220hp and 250-260 TQ. Not the fastest car but fun.

the best thing if you want function and sound is to get a splitter valve, forge do them, you get enough boost through to get a blow off sound but most of it goes back into the intake like a DV

I REALLY hope you didn't put a blow off valve on your 1.8T. Audi/vw uses diverter valves, your engine will not function properly with a bov.

But if you boost more, the stock blow off valve can't support more pressure and you would a boost leak..but i don't know how much exactly
