  • oh my god what a tone its very steve vai

  • nice video friend, but this aint a amp cabinet speaker sound, right?? well my guitar sound (using a 4x12 fender cabinet) sounds very different. the guitar sound freom this video looks more direct sound kind of, cheers friend and thumbs up, loved the picture of your randall.

  • Could you please demo the built in simulator for anyone who might be buying it and compare it with cab emulators (Guitar Rig, Even Peavey Revelver) i'm not really bothered if the guitar rig cabs are better I just wanna hear it and my the judgement for myself as I might be recording my band with one of these things.

  • @RyRy2308 yeah i could, but unfortunatley not with the Mesa, i sold it, and bought a Randall rm100 instead :)

Look back in a couple of weeks :)

  • @ollemannen5 Cheers man, Look foward to seeing it, If its as crap as you say it is i'll be using Guitar rig or Peavey for cabs =P

  • fuk me that sounds good i have been harcore in to death metal and forgot what all other styles wer so is that rock ?

  • Is the sound card on ur computer stock?? Also would u say that the ultra g is worth buying 2 use the built in cab simulator?? Thanks in advance.

  • I use an external soundcard, EMU 0404, and no, the built in cab simulator in the ultra g is pretty bad :( Thats why i´m using guitar rig for cab simulation :)

  • Thank you. Do you know of any other cab simulators?? I'm pretty set on my tone I'm getting, I just want it to record nicely. It seems kinda excessive for me to get guitar rig 3 for just the cab sims.

  • You should make this demo again, using the speaker emulator of the Ultra-G instead of Guitar Rig.

  • No, the guita rig cab simulator sounds way better than the behringer ultra g simulator

  • Great tone man! Looking forward to your next demo.

  • Is that a rectoverb or a solo 50?

  • it´s a solo 50 head, but i have sold it and bought a randall rm 100 which i gonna do a demo about soon.

  • Excellent tone

  • If i buy a Behringer's Ultra-G can i plug it in the speaker out and then connect it my pc for recording or to headphones for monitoring? And also the speaker is working during that or is muted?

  • If you have a tube amp, a speaker cab must be connected to the Ultra ,G otherwise it will damage the poweramp. But i do not use the CAB simulator inside the Ultra G i´m just using it for sending a signal from my Top to my computer without damage the powersection. And then i ru the signal thru Guitar rig 3 cab simulator.

  • Not bad !!!!

  • Thats really cool man! Is that you playing in the background? Sounded amazing! Rock on.

  • yeah, its me, running my mesa head thru gr3 cab simulation

  • God dang it sounds amazing. Your really good man. Keep it up. YOu sound like Steve Vai , Eric Johnson , and a little like Eddie Van Halen I think. Roc kon.

  • Got one of this Behringer Cab Sim. I ran mine thru Mic tube preamp with EQ, Compresser to my Monitors/Digi recorder.. It sounds so much like a Crank-up Amp w/ 4X12!!

    Sounds Fantastic btw!

  • try peaveys revalver plugin for cab simulation, its like the real thing!

  • lets say i have a head, an ultra g, and a 4x12. what happens if i run the ultraG in the efx loop?

  • not much i think, if you have enabled the speaker simulator it will sound pretty bad, why do you want to run the ultra g in the efx loop?

    i use mine like this...

from the mesa head speaker output to ultra g input and from ultra g direct link output to my 4*12 cab, and a microphone cable from ultra g to my soundcard.

so i dont use the built in speaker simulation.

If you have a tube amp, make sure you allways have the cab connected otherwise you can damage the poweramp section.

  • Very cool!

But i think you should add a couple more mids and a little bit more volume!

    But

  • sounds fantastic!

  • Thanks!

  • Very nice crunchy tone. You can certainly tell it's a rec.

  • Crunchy o.O

What the heck is crunchy here?

  • Crunch as a descriptive term for overdriven. Listen to the chords, the bite on the single notes. Mesa Cruch as opposed to an OTT "sizzle" from distortion.

Clearly you have a different interpretation for "crunch".
