He didn´t have any amateur background. Besides, with that record he has, no matter who he´s fought, it´s still great. He´s ok, not like his dad but he´s not that bad either.

Pacquiao is 5'6" and is a light welterweight (although his next bout is at welterweight) and Chavez Jr. is 6' and fights at light middleweight! That's a big difference. Although Pacquiao is a more seasoned fighter, one punch from a much heavier man can end the fight and worse, seriously hurt him. Look at what happened to JM Marquez when he fought a Mayweather. He didn't win a single round!
