One of germanys biggest mistakes was that their weapons and vehicles were the best of the best. This was a mistake, while they were better, we cranked out 5 or more to thier evey 1. Great example, the Panzer and Shermans. German firearms and vehicles were much better built. However, it slowed production and made field maintenance difficult. All our stuff had interchangeable parts, easy to salvage off 1 broken vehicle to make the other run. This still shows today, look at thier cars and firearms
that wasnt mistake,mistake was they didnt have air support later on,so all those great german tanks and armor during clear weather were siting ducks for allied air forces. also they had big trouble with logistic in last days,i mean they almost didnt have fuel. again coz allied bombers destroyed theirs supplies

The P-51 was awesome, however you got to account for the fact that these "Ace in a day" pilots, for the most part were shooting down FW-190's flown by student pilots. The Luftwaffe had lost almost all it's experienced pilots by then.
Only really decent German fighter. Even more versatile than the Mustang and more firepower. Good thing that German war production wasted resources continually upgrading the ME 09.
