i don't know that much about laptops or computers but can i put it in my fujitsu siemens amilo d7830? it has pentium 4 and the guy i bought it from said that it did 2.8 ghz. will it work with 2 x 2gb of modules?
hey um i got a old pentuum 4 and i want it to run really fast (im useing a i5 at the moment) but i want to know if i add a i7 processor can i add more ram than 2 gb's?
What set would you recommend for AMD Phenom XII 555? What is the difference between DDR2, DDR3, 1600, PC3 12800, higher PC3 and lower PC3, or even PC2?
Well I just ordered a tripple channel kit for my pc. I've got 12GB A-DATA gaming series RAM right now and it sucks balls. Nothing but BSoDs and I've tried everything to fix it. Even 3x2 GB won't work. it's always code 0x0000001A or, when I forget to change the voltage after over or downclocking: 0x00000050... I'fed up with it. I hope these guys will do the job.
Today I bought 6 sticks (for tri channel 12GB total) of OCZ with clock speed of 686 at 1.65 volts. Would you know what voltage to set it to? Or is it the same as yours?
Well when a videocard creates the image you see on the screen, it can get pretty busy in its GPU. Sometimes the card can't cope with the amount of data it needs to process. Which is why, for the more demanding games, Gfx cards manufacturers have invented Crossfire and SLI. What it does, it deviding the data amongst more cards (often 2). So you've got 2 GPUs showing you your game which often gives better framerates and allowes you to play most games on their best video quality.
Do keep in mind that it will never give you a 100% increase since the software which devides the data is never optimal. But its getting closer. On the other hand, the GPU's are getting so fast that its hardly nescessary to get 2 graphics cards. This 4890 for example already has 2 GPU's if I'm not mistaking.. And I've got 2 XfX 5870 2GB in crossfire. Its overkill.. but it works like a charm. its basicly for the non-hippy gamers amungst us who don't care about the electrical bill
@Sn0okkz OCZ has other memory kits that work on AMD systems better. This kit will still work, however I would look at the OCZ site for specific kits that you know they say work for both Intel and AMD.
i have these except @ 1333MHz, and im sorry to say these are fail sticks.... i am never buying OCz ram again! their keyboard pwns, their coolers are also pwn, but NEVER BUY OCz RAM!
why is it that ddr2 ram generally have faster latency speed compared to ddr3, my old ocz platinum ddr2 ran at 4-4-4, while my new platinum ocz 2gb run at 7-7-7
hi the kits are tri channel doesnt work with amd boards because another option for me is bought a tri channel viper and not use the 3 dimm this is for a ecs a790gxm-ad3
can i use this memory on my GA p55-ud3r and i5 proc? u said its for AMD and i've red some stuff on forums that i5 requires memory to be exactly 1.65V coz of the overheating! is that true ?! thx
@tredecker , carefull you dont want to accidentally get the Triple channel version which is for the Intel Core i7 boards. Make sure you got Dual Channel DDR3
@TheMRamstaff, you missed the point. I showed how it made a little difference only in using 4GB of this OCZ ram compared to a 2GB at higher latencies. That means that you can get the same performance with 2GB of other better rated DDR2.
Hey all! Im new to this but do you guys mind checking my videos out and comment me to see what i MUST improve on and what is good. And if you like it subscribe to my channel because i will get better and post more videos!
i need help please, i just got the MSI 790FX with a phenom x4 3.0ghz, but i don't know what type of ram should i put. i'm planning to get the Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB DDR3 any recommendations thank you.
@yeti6593 , 1333Mhz is fine, in some cases you can increase the timings on a 1333Mhz RAM to be faster than a 1600 at default timings so dont worry about it. The difference isnt that great anyways.
@naryanr , your right, you can overclock it even further depending on your system and if its stable for you, however it is rated to 1600 as per the manufacturer.
That is true, but AMD systems have a very hard time getting past 1800mhz. AMD systems can get high clocks and low latencies due to being able to use up to 2.4v(it goes higher, but it's dangerous), and Intel can get higher speeds, but can't get good latencies at those really high speeds.
I believe no company has yet designed a machine that can kick a persons ass, I'm sure it's possible, but I don't see the point in manufacturing such a machine.

If i set this to 1600MHz 7-7-7-24 on 1.7V, my computer will bluedieing, but 1333MHz 6-6-6-20 on 1.7V is good.
I have a Phenom II 550 @X4 B50 3.7GHz CPU, and GIGABYTE GA-770TA-UD3 motherboard.
My english is bad, but anyone can help me?
