I'd like to know how to secure orchestral parts for this piece. Can you tell me?
I've a student preparing it for a concerto competition. Would appreciate any info on where to rent or purchase parts. Enjoyed your performance! R. Dimond. Professor of Music. Henderson St. Univ.
I believe they're available from Boosey (who now represents Bote und Bock). I can't remember whom we rented them from. I can check with the orchestra librarian but I know they're available commercially; I'm in Europe for the next 3 weeks. If that doesn't work let me know at tympani@ix.netcom.com and I'll follow-up when I'm back in the US.
Wow, I performed this on my senior recital at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio back in 1984 and I never thought I'd find this as a post on YouTube. Great performance!! Thanks for posting :0)
Thanks for the comment. As you know, it's a fun piece to play. I’m surprised there are so few posts of it. I heard Thärichen play in Berlin in the 80's and I'm now friends with his son, Nicolas.
