It isn't that difficult. You don't have to use a computer program, just pick up your wand, say lumos, and to end it you say nox. You should try it.

But hey, your way is pretty good too, it looks really... real. :)

Noble collection may be expensive ($36 per wand :I) but they have the best quality. Their wands are not wood nor plastic. I forgot what they were made of, but they can break easily with bad usage. Waving them a lot won't break them unless you wave it too hard o O. Still, best wands you can get! They have all the wands they use in the movie I think.

quite.. ok. U lack many things. e.g. the spell detail is ok but u need to make the area it reaches more bright, also light creates shadows.. all that = more realistic

Noble Collection is a pretty cool site! Tho mines just a regular wand my uncle made me a while back. Probably would have been easier to just use a light-up wand lol. o well

It would look better if you add the Wiggler effect to the layer with CC Light Rays so it flickers a slight bit.

Not bad! Try using the radio waves effect to give that really minute rippling effect like they have on the movies =)

I made it using the CC Light Rays Plug-in. It comes on the After Effects 6.5 Disk. I think it comes on the others but I haven't bought those ones so I dont really know lol. :P
