it's dual 580 clocked at 603MHz. Need to remind you that the temperatures of the standard 590 cooler is way too high running furmark

the GTX 590 does have a potential if clocked at higher speed but the card has too many worries to even think about overclocking

@Nathan173AB simulations are a big part of today's world most cars aren't even built until the design is put through fluid dynamic and stress simulations, many drugs are designed and tested around simulations, these programs take alot of time and computing power to complete, a 500watt system at full load may seem better than a 2kw system but not when it takes 30 more kwh to complete the same task, downtime saves time and money the longer a system has to be up for a given task the more it costs

Last time I checked the 6000 costs 2k and has 448 cores vs the 590s 1024 I need a compact card not dependant on air and don't need 6gb per card

@metroid1122 though the quadro line is better than a similar spec'd geforce product its not worth 3x the price, last time I checked the best in the quadro line was the 7000 yes it was good it can produce 4k resolutions and was a true dual GPU setup but, I don't remember 5k? for an external unit that didn't perform much better than a 590, I could probably buy 4 590s for the price of a 7000 and get 3-4x the performance(if overclocked 6x)

@magnum4magnets82 You won't notice a difference. I can see getting a single 590 to be future proof for a long time. Get a 570 and you're set for a good while on any game. If you still want the best for Crysis, get dual 570s, dual 580s, or a single 590. Anymore than that and you're just being a vain, wasteful leach on resources. You can't buy happiness, sorry.

@feesww Well, I'm not an expert. I just make an estimate based on how other cards in similar range perform. I know the 560 Ti, for example, typically hovers around 30-40 FPS in Crysis on maximum settings. I just figure a 570 would be more like 40-50, and most would probably find that acceptable. However, if you really want to go for all around good measure, a 580 with extra memory (3GB instead of 1.5GB) is the best choice. Dual 590s is overkill and wasteful unless you're using multiple monitors.

@feesww Also remember that if you're going that high end, your CPU better be able to handle it. If you use AMD, you'd better have the absolute best CPU they have. Really, I don't recommend AMD at all unless you're going for a mid-range rig, which you are obviously not. As to Intel, should be a high end i5. You could get an i7, but supposedly the hyperthreading feature in i7s and gaming do not get along well.

@feesww Xeon processors will work, but they're really made for servers so they might not be ideal. Also, you don't want a socket 1366 anyways, not with the new socket 1155 out. The socket 1155 processors are cheaper and more efficient. The Core i5 2500K is the best choice. It will handle dual 580s or a single 590 just fine, plus you can overclock it if you do need that extra performance. Is this your first custom build? I've built my own too, so feel free to message me for more help if you want.
