Millions and millions are raised every year by countless charities such as Oxfam and Unicef and the suffering continues. It's pretty obvious that how such money is used is critical. Your right when it comes to Governments giving direct aid through grants to LEDCs, much of it is wasted through war etc. I'll be glad to inform you Comic Relief does not give money to the governments but provides things like mosquito nets, which meets their real needs and help the countried develop.
