I found this awesome quote from Greg Graffin of Bad Religion regarding who and what's punk. Thought I would share since it seems to come up a lot in people's comments. The quote is in the next 3 posts.

@hayqdueleymucho Green Day wasn't bad.. The sum 41 dude married Avril Lavigne which is probably one of the biggest posers of all time and their lyrics are corny as hell. Better punk would be like, Screeching Weasel, The Queers, The Secretions, or even The muffs. But, I would say Gold Finger was without a doubt better than sum 41. But you are entitled to your opinion.
If you guys like this band you should really go check out Green Day play back in the 1990s. They're even better and play quite harder. These guys are okay too but Green Day is just raw awesomeness back in the 90s.

John said that when they had finished recording the album the band felt that the album still needed a cheesy/catchy song that would be fun to play live so they quickly wrote this song hence the cheesy yet catchy vibe lyrics, chords, and the awesome life performance, particularly with a fully crowed yelling 1-2-3-4!!

I saw them Back in 1999 when they were on tour with Ignite and they were so good. The played nothing but songs off of the s/t album and hang ups because those were the only 2 cd's they had out.

they never had horn players in the band. For the ska stuff they usually got the horn players from their friend's band like Reel Big Fish or the Skeletones to play on the songs.

so...how close to the drummers' back do you think that fake background is? anyways, this recording is awful, I've heard several other songs by Goldfinger, and this is the worst quality I've heard, I like the song, but I like it more in.....oh any other link with keywords Goldfinger - Counting the days this was for mtv...thats scary, at least its even between the instruments, from what I can tell....

they never had horn players in the band. For the ska stuff they usually got the horn players from their friend's band like Reel Big Fish or the Skeletones to play on the songs.
