Hey!

My headphones aren't plugged into the guitar, they are connected to my iPod which plays the song, then I use a jack lead to connect to my amp and then just record it with my Mac's iSight camera. This was okay but I've just changed my method to get a better sound.

Now, I use a 3.5 mm adapter and plug my guitar into my laptop which then I record in GarageBand using Guitar Rig 3, if you check out my latest videos you'll see a difference. It sounds great through headphones!

Hey!

Believe it or not, I'm using a Stagg 15 Watt practice amp which I got 9 years ago! And I used the inbuilt distortion on it! I use my Macbook to record both the video and audio through the iSight webcam on it, and for some reason, the crappyness of the webcam + the crappyness of my amp, make quite a good sound haha!

I don't think this would be too great for recording though :S

But hopefully I've answered your question :)
