its a great source. although meadows writes from a shamanic perspective, he explains the origins of the runes and gives very detailed meanings and shows great understanding of the runes.
he puts the runes in a circular and cyclical order, and its an Uthark order.with a blank rune as well...
man runes r just fricking cool. i love the vikings and what they did 4 historical. this is going 2 help a lot with those books that u said, and also i have a question about the luring runes. was its easy 2 learn? and after luring what they mean, where u abel 2 speak in runes, and wright in runes. im really wanting 2 learn as much as i can about runes and the vikings. so can u plz help me by telling me what it was like 4 u. and
good luck, it's an awesome book, that's the one I was talking about... just remember: everything in there about the "blank Rune" is his own personal opinion and has no historical or academic basis, but if it works for you, by all means use it.
@Wiccagem Also note that Blum completely disregards all runic history and violates the traditional rune order. "There are no references to a blank rune in any of the extensive literature on runes before Blum's book, so we can be quite certain that the idea dates to the mid 1970s at the earliest. There is certainly no evidence of a blank rune in the runic inscriptions, rune poems, or other Nordic literature dating from the time when runes were still in common use." Quote from Sweyn.
