  • 2:14 "see how simple it is?" lol....i think mr bernstein really got some sense of humor =)

  • i produce hip hop beats and this just opened a whole new door to my music

  • I think this must have been recorded in 1962. At the beginning, Bernstein refers to a brand new concert hall. He must have been talking about Avery Fisher Hall in New York which opened that year.

  • This guy's suit is so damn dapper!

  • At 60 I can still learn from this! (in my teens I stole his book on music for youngsters from the library.) (feeling guilty about it. But HAD to have it.)

What a role model for all music educators!

  • anyone please. where can i find these? perhaps they've been put to Dvd? How can i get them all?

  • @FuckingAlpaccino Netflix has a 9 DVD set of the concerts

  • This could just be called "Any Age Concerts" -- Bernstein is never condescending, and I always learn something and just enjoy his presentation. These videos are a cultural treasure.

  • Leonard Bernstein's "Young People's Concerts" were my introduction to classical music as a child.

I can't imagine a program like this being broadcast for young people today.

  • @BernardProfitendieu

Modern society has been diluted with Justin Bieber :( Nothing like this would be broadcast today :(

  • Very good.
