They fell at the same time, Green going for slide and Geathers going for tackle. It's not intentional or "dirty" but it still is a Unsportsmanlike Conduct from the refs standpoint, I believe, simply because Green was going for the slide. Offense always gets the call unless it's holding.

Seriously though if you haven't watched the replay on DVR a few times it looks dirty, but after repeated (albeit is was difficult to watch over and over) viewing you can see that it was not intentional, and would be taken back in a minute if possible.

Alot of the issue with the hit on Palmer from Johnny Cobra Kai Dojo, was the fact that Carson Palmer is 'The Trigger' that makes the Cinci offense fire. To compare the two hits Robert Geathers would have had to make a deliberate dirty hit on the Chiefs "Trigger" but Willie Roaf retired before Geathers had a chance to "Torpedo" him.

I don't believe Kennison was a factor in the tackle. However, ever time I watch this, I see Geathers start his tackle then Green start his slide.

I think everyone feels bad about what happened, but unless they put a rule in that if you get within 3 yards of the QB, he is automatically down then you cannot prevent hits like this from happening.

The point is Trent is a quarterback. However much you may hate it there are different rules for QBs. Watch 22 in that clip, he lets up. It seem Geathers was the only one that failed to realize that Trent was sliding. Maybe the sliding rule should be looked into after this, because the QB is giving up and leaving himself vulnerable to something like this. And cincyboy I can't take anything you bengals fans say serious after all the crying about Carson's "cheap shot".

Kennison touching him had no effect on Geathers. Watch the video again, his trajectory does not change at all after Kennison "pushed" him. Geathers saw a free shot at a QB and took it. I hope he gets fined.

2. Geathers went in for the tackle at exactly the precise moment that Green began his slide

3. Geathers did try to turn himself in order to avoid a helmet to helmet collision
