Back to "cuss words". Yes,if you used the word hippo in the same way you use other "cuss words" and society decided that would be a "cuss word", it would be a swear word as far as I'm concerned. That is how most of the "cuss words" I know of came to be "cuss words.

so basically, any word used in such a manner as too express ones, say, frustration is deemed a "cuss word" and should not be used in any context for the sheer fact that in some situations it can carry a negative meaning? common man thats bullshit(note i could have used bonkers,crazy,ridiculous, etc. except it dosnt make a difference, because according to you they are all the same as "bullshit" in the end).

No. You're not reading all of what I wrote. I wrote that, if you used for example the word hippo in the same way you used "cuss words" AND SOCIETY DECIDES that is going to be a "cuss word" then as far as I'm concerned it is.

Yes, I do infact believe that God created everything. I definatly don't believe in evolution is correct. I do not believe that we are here by chance. I believe we were created by God for a purpose.

As for evolution, dont you think its possible for god to have created evolution? and perhaps the garden of eden was all just a metaphor for evolution? to deny evolution is almost like denying that the sky is blue.
i mean its even evident today, it is an infinite process.

No. God did not create evolution. Read Genisis 1. I do not believe in evolution at all. I do not believe that we are just a chance and that is not what the Bible teaches. That we just happened to evolve into humans. How is it evident? Why haven't we evolved in the last 2000 years? Where are the new species of well anything? Last I knew we had species that are threatend, not new evolved species.

Plato's republic has some interesting readings in it. He says that religion is for people who do not wish to seek the truth, and that is fine, because it instills virtue to a certain degree. I may not have a faith, but it dosnt mean im a bad person. I try to live my life as virtuously as possible, and i am a peacful person.

Most people in religion have or are searching for a truth. That truth is Jesus. Nothing in the world or anywhere can take the place of Him. You may live a virtous life but where will that get you? You can't get to heaven by good works or by being a peacful person.

if you look at religion, it is in fact a guide to a virtuous life. "wwjd", the goal of christianity is to be like jesus. some say its impossible, but this is not so. you can do what you please in this life with no consequence other than thoes put in place by society. the out come of life is the same for all, but truly enlightened people know that to be virtuous is best. Some people need incentive to act virtuously (i.e. heaven and hell)

I do understand, but if you look, to be like jesus is to be truly virtuous. For a religion to have an icon like jesus to strive for just makes sense. Just like Buhidism. Now whats easier to convince people of "be like jesus or goto hell" or "be good, but really it dosnt matter in the end, because the outcome is the same"...

As I have said many times before there is life after death. I still say you have "blind faith in evolution because you weren't there and you only do because you read something that someone else believes in. Adam and Eve are not "metaphors". I will check out the book.

You could live a terrible life and on your death bed realize that Jesus is the only way you can get to heaven. All you have to do is believe that he was sinless, died, was buried and that he rose again from the dead. You will still go to heaven. Life is not about being virtous. Not that I would say go out and live a life of sin but that you can only get into heaven by beliving in Jesus not by being perfect or virtous.

Let's say you are right. There is nothing when you die. You just go in the dirt. The end. But, what if I'm right. What if there is more? What if you don't just die and that is the end? Where will you spend eternity?

Just to start, there is nothing when you die. As i explained through logic befor, nothing is equal to everything. so really when you die... well you can kind of see what im getting at... nothing and everything are the same. god is nothing... i realize this may seem kinda whack lol

You say you don't have "blind faith" but logic, you believe in evolution and you didn't see it happen. Did you? You have "blind faith" in the scientists that say that evolution happened.

Theres evidence of evolution, not only of physical form, but intellect,cultural, and societal evolution. Anthropology, archaeology, geology... these sciences can pretty much create a timeline of human evolution, they can even explain how life was created through amino acids(which has been replicated in labs)
