Even in the books, eventhough she is with Eric, you know she loves Bill. In the last book you can feel it. I'm pretty sure she 'likes' Eric, but it's more of a physical relationship, but she loves Bill. I hope she ends up with Bill in the end. I hate it when ppl keep saying that Bill is boring and that Eric is so awesome and cocky and that's why he belongs with Sookie. I disagree! Bill is not boring, I love his character. I like Eric but come on he's arrogant and all. Bill&Sookie 4ever!

***MILD SPOILER*** - In the books and may or may not be the case in the show Bill does something before he meets sookie and when he meets her its there in the background and it explodes in his face even though the circumstances are now different it causes pain for sookie and taints their relationship.

I love both the Books and the show and from your comment your definately PRO-Bill - Who isn't. In the books its gonna be tough for Bill he hurt Sookie Badly and apologises but there is still more hurt for Sookie coutesy of Bill which I will not Sugarcoat - devastating revelation.

But he never stops trying to make amends.

If you do stick with the books read them ALL. DO NOT READ SPOILERS.

You have to take the Rough with the smooth if you read these books!

But they are worth it.

Post book 3 - Bill and Sookie's relationship is unresolved - they have issues which in the books to come are brought to light that affect whether or not they will back together...

HI Twi, I have read all the books to date. Yes in Club Dead Sookie's wee heart gets broken by Vampire Bill and they do break up. Before you continue reading the rest of the books I would consider this first:

If you have decided to read the books (and are only at book 3) is this because you took up reading them because of the True Blood Tv Series to get insight into the shows direction.....?

Twi5Productions Bill is so different in True Blood. He is a true good guy. Although I'm sure. that Bill, in True Blood, has a very dark past that he regrets because he does have a conscience. That's what seperates him from the other Vampires and from Eric. Bill has trouble dealing with his past. Bill in True Blood is far more heroic. Don't forget that in season 1 Bill burned in the graveyard to save Sookie. Then he risked his life again when he killed the vampire to save Sookie

I couldn't finish all of my response in the first post. I read the first 2 then stopped there because I love the show soooo much and I didn't want to have it ruined. But the show is taking a turn away from the books and I'm loving it. In the show Bill has a good heart and is trying so hard to battle the evil that lives in him because he's a vampire. I think that both the Bill and Eric characters are so much better written in the show. Reading the books will just ruin the show for you

and published before the "Twilight" saga.

I kinda feel that Stephanie Meyer got the idea from those books.

Why does everyone keep saying that? They also think she got the idea for "The host" from a Star Trek episode, and honestly their isn't anything wrong with that.
