In theory, we should never bail them out; it creates an incentive for them to do it again. However, in this case I think the govt needs to get involved to restructure these bad loans simply because we'll all suffer big time if all these foreclosures occur. Citi may do predatory lending, I don't know but they gave me a mortgage and it was not predatory. It was at a market rate and has standard 30 year fixed term.

Good call! But I think right now this countries real problem is Hillary and Bill Clinton. Barack Obama has not secured that nomination. There is still a very real possibility that she could steal that nomination. If that happens then John McCain had better take a economics crash course because he will be our next president!
