The current Dallara chassis configuration is still the same since 2003! I'm getting kinda sick of it... change it already... the car configuration was eyecandy until some time ago... at least for me...
Outstanding race, with outstanding drivers. If this had been Nascar drivers running this close, you would have had crash after crash. Thats a proven fact. These guys really showed their talents. Being that close, that fast and not one person made that little tiny mistake needed to spark the big one.
Those are real professional racers out there. Amazing race. Would have liked to see young Rahal get the win.
Hey man, I'm not trying to discredit the Indycar drivers at all, they are amazing. But a stock car is a hell of a lot harder to drive that one of these. Check how often these guys get loose then look at why 3 stock cars 3 wide is hard to do, because they are all sawing on the wheel.
With that said, Indycar is GREAT and their oval track races are certainly more exciting than NASCAR.
@LS6CamaroA4 yeah but keep in mind how much slower nascar is too though, so all that stuff you mentioned is actually pretty easy because THEY ARE SLOWER! Stock cars are easier to drive compared to an indycar.
wow! I would have watched this race if I wasnt busy, too bad I couldnt see it, why couldnt they race like this at Texas earlier this year, hope Homestead will be like this
At Texas they all used the same aero configuration with less downforce - here they can use different configurations and most of them have much more downforce (for example tire ramps). An of course they now have the push to pass button which they didnt had at texas too. In the complete race they have 20 pushes and for each push the get round about 5-20 hp more for 20 seconds! Thats great to overtake.

This race convinced me that Indycars are so much better than Formula1!!

indycar/chicagoland makes nascar/talladega look tame. This is epic racing

I <3 the Dallara as it is.
But I still like to see new things.

@a7racing easy to drive, really depends on the racing conditions, but in general yes since stockcars have power steering
