you have to admire the donkey's patience! For those who have never been real close to a donkey, they DO NOT have a ridge at the withers (shoulder) like a horse or mule does. I think thats why this "swing on" move would be difficult. I'm thinking.
I've climbed up my 15h Mammoth Donkey a time or two, but it's hard since I can't hook my elbow on his withers or grab a handful of mane.
actually my mom is 53 and she wants nothing to do with riding horses or donkeys...and yes that is awesome that u can cause i cant even do that...lol...i have to use the fence
That is the most patient donkey! I think my Clementine would've given up on me much sooner. I hope Soloman Elvis got extra carrots that night with dinner. :-)
I need to work on this myself. I have a 16+ hh Percheron cross. LOL Maybe I'll start from the 2'-high retaining wall.
When you get on a big horse/donkey, raise your FOOT instead of your knee. Hook your foot on their butt and pull yourself up. Actually KICK your foot as high as it'll go, then hook it.
Well Pat, YOU DID IT! YAYYYY! That is about the cutest, and yes, MOST patient donk I've ever seen. I think about 3:42 he thought he might need to 'defend' himself. OOPS, sorry donk. Heee, heeeee! BRAVO!

Ms. Hlover20, If you can just swing up Indian style when you are 55 years old, you are doing well. Can your mom?
