In fact SEGA has sealed an exclusive deal to use IMAGETEC's Power VR 6 Rogue 3D stereoscopic GPU. SEGA has contracted three companies to design a modified CPU of Fuijstu's Venus 8 There's been an onagain,off again rumor about a RINGEDGE based on-live like device as well.

Of course, the SG-1000 was the original. The Mark II replaced it in 1984, and was replaced by the Mark III in late 1985 (the U.S. got it as the Master System in June 1986).

I owned a Sega SC-3000 PC. That was a pretty cool console considering Sega were still new to the console game.

Once in awhile it will appear on eBay and will sell for a high price. Keep in mind it was never released in the US so you will need a PAL TV.

There was also a hybrid Colecovision/SG-1000 clone in the US which is NTSC, just as hard to find.

Keep in mind this isn't the most satisfying collectible console, as there were very few games for it.

Mostly no, the Master System has a BIOS that will block most Japanese software. They'd play perfectly if you modded your system.
