  • i'd pay 2 see soccer players ATTEMPT to play this sport and hurling is far harder which requires amazing skill.

  • I'm from West Clare and looking at the map at 0.41 where I grew up no longer exists.

Where will I go for Xmas?

  • The best sport on earth!

  • Brilliant game, I remember it from school. All the best bits of football and the best bits of rugby and no stupid rule preventing you from passing forward. Rugby always felt more like a dance rehearsal than a game. Its basically football but you can pick up the ball and knock seven bells of shite out of each other :)

  • I'm an Afro-American and I follow a lot of sport including this Gaelic sport along with hurling. I also follow rugby union, rugby league, American football, Canadian football, Aussie footy, soccer, ice hockey, cricket, etc.

I got to say that Gaelic sports are the best sports to watch and I go to Ireland one day to see a GAA game.

  • I PLAYED THIS SINCE I WAS LITTLE MY UNCLES PLAYED FOR YORKSHIRE AND 1 OF THEM PLAYED A FEW PRO SOCCER MATCHES FOR HUDDERSFIELD AND TRANMERE A LOT OF PEOPLE SAID ALL 3 OF MY UNCLES WOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY AT THE TOP LEVEL IF THEY LIVED IN IRELAND AND NOT ENGLAND THEY ALL WENT TO AMERICA ONCE TO PLAY FOR A GREAT BRITAIN TEAM

  • Basketball is still better imo.

  • @Dimitri0809 How, there is far more skill and fittness required in this than basketball,

  • 2.58 canavan, what a hero!

  • HOLY CRAP IT BLITZBALL ON THE LAND!!!!

  • Ah, look who it is, its bitter houlhersteady, spouting off with some more irrelevant bitterness. Buy a time machine and catch up, idiot!

  • is it ok to call this rugby with a football twist?

  • @adamusprime1001

    nope...

  • @adamusprime1001

nope!!! its nothing like rugby at all!! lol

  • LOL whats with this fag below me? its not a school essay.

  • BOGBALL / PADDYBALL / GAYLICK , LOL , cant stop laughing at thse buch of boggers. cant stop laughing.

  • What's the difference between Gaelic Football and Soccer?

Soccer is mostly played by 12-year-old girls.

  • @MrDaveLogan The diffrence is Football is the only true global game, played the world over. Football govering body has more members trhan the UN, that tells you how much Football is a world game. Now the GAA UGLY GAME of BOGBALL aka PADDYBALL GAYLICK. is only played by Irish Catholic hicks , hillbillys , inbreeds , farmer boys and is the game most favoured by Irish catholic pedofile priests , The game is played by two of 15 thugs a side , and without any rules , lol.

  • @houlhersteady I wouldn't exactly call Europe and South America "the world over"

  • @MrDaveLogan There are approx 50 self govering countries in Europe , every single one of them is represented in Footballs Worlds govering body , In Africa every single country is a member of Fifa. In S. America every country is in FIFA not to mention N America with the huge countries of Canada and USA members. Austrlia , , and every single arab country is a FIFA member. In Asia every single country a FIFA member, In fact their are approx only 6 or 7 countries not FIFA Members. P1.

  • @houlhersteady P2. Football is the only truely recongined global game. In my list I forgot to mention China , the most populated country on the planet , were Football is now over taking traditional games as the number one sport. In fact the kids there are so taken with the game that the goverment and councils etc cannot keep pace with request for pitches . Football is a brand name with FIFA holding the rights. Even in GAA indoctornated Ireland the kids are crazy about the game. p2

  • p3. and evidence of that was shown at the last FAI Cup Final , in the new home of Irish Football the spectular Avivia stadium, were a record crowd attended the recent Cup Final, between Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers. A crowd of 36 thousand plus . That shows how Football is progressing , all but slowly in GAA ridden Ireland. Football is on the up , and the FAI hopes in the nxt few years to redevelop much of the stadiums to a much higher standard , to attract even more to attend.

  • The GAA is mincule in comparsion to Football and FIFA , and other world games such as both codes of Rugby and Cricket. The GAA has no appeal to those other than the captive Irish Catholic community. But their is a sea change happening , with Irish Catholic youth no longer sitting back quietly whilst the GAA is drummed into them at most Catholic schools. They know the GAA is going nowhere global , and you cannot even play for your country in Gaelic games astheir no one to play with.

  • @houlhersteady You're talking about soccer's situation now, today. In 100-200 years time Gaelic football might be the global game. Stranger things have happened. Maybe one day people will say they are bored just kicking the ball along the ground and not handling it and not kicking goals and being penalised when opposition players take a dive. And just because Australia, the US, Canada have membership of FIFA, obviously doesn't mean soccer is popular in those countries.

  • @MrDaveLogan If anyonewas ever in need of help it you, lol. To even think that a bastardised game like GAY LICK , aka BOGBALL,/PADDYBALL will ever become a global game is laughable , its so silly that you need help soon, lol. The fact seems to have by passed you that GAYLICK /BOGBALL despite being made upover a century ago cannot even move beyond the boundries of captive Irish Catholic s. The fact that no self respecting members of the Protestant community depise and hold it in great p1

  • @houlhersteady p2 mistrust and suspicion , due to its links to both the dicredited Pedofile ridden Catholic Church and violent and non violent Nationalist/Republican politics. For you to even dispute in any way whatsoever the worlds fastest growing global game show how out of touch and brainwashed by the idiots and clowns who run and promote the GAA. Football is the fastest growing game in America , and China, in America it is reckoned that in less than 25 years it will overtake p2-

  • p3. what is now concidred their National games of American football and Baseball , such is the draw and lure in the youth of America. Even corprate America has not been slow to act and knows Football is growing fast and several global brands amongst them Red Bull have got involved and have just built a 60 thousand state of the art stadium for their own Red Bull team. America has the most female Footballers in the world and boast the only all professional womens leauge in the world. p3

  • p4. To say that America is not part of the global game of Football shows how ignorant you are. The intrest in the game in America has been fulled mainly by America outstanding show in the last three Football World Cups, and prior to that Football was struggling to get of the ground. 20 years ago if anyone had of said America would get to the latter stages of the Football World Cup in the next decade or so would have been concidred insane , but hell a decade on and America is knocking p4

  • p5. on the door and the Football world is taking notice. As for Canada it at the moment is growing as a Football nation and FIFA has invested millons of dollars to help promote the game , and it looks as it now starting to flourish. The simple fact is their no stopping Football , even in Ireland were the GAA for over a century had rules and regulations which demonised Football and other popular games amongst the Irish Catholic youth. Even today the GAA has in place rules that no other p5

  • p6. body that is involed ith sport has. It steadfastly refuse the use of it grounds for other sport to use, " exception Croke PARK" such is the hatred and fear of the global games of Football , and lesser extent Rugby. The GAA is often refered to a a Dinasour and extreme Concervative Catholic run body which still live in the past , were words of the past like Tans, Easter Riseing, Brits, Garrision Games , are spoken as if they were current issues. The GAA is going nowhere , p6

  • p7. outside of Catholic Ireland, they can boast about how much taxpayers money they spend on their grounds etc , hype to death the boys and girls from the villages and townlands who play Gaylick games as if they were global superstars and the games they play global games. But reality is compleatly diffrent , not another nation watches , cares or plays GAYLICK games. The very fact that no self respection Protestant play or that you cannot represent your country in GAYLICK , says it all.

  • @houlhersteady I need help, do I? If someone can't debate an issue without resorting to insults, then it's likely they are starting to lose the debate. You say no self respecting members of the Protestant community would embrace it. I said it may become a global game, outside of Ireland. I'm not Protestant, I'm not Catholic, I'm not even Irish and I enjoy the game. Maybe there's more people like me in the world outside of Ireland.

  • @MrDaveLogan Resorting to insults ?. .... please explain.... You claim you are neither Irish , Catholic or Protestant , and you enjoy the game of BOGBALL, fair play to you , it not a crime you know lol. But you are a rareity and a grain of salt in a ocean. What annoys me about the GAA is how they are allowed to promote their UGLY GAMES in virtually every Catholic school in Ireland and the same privlage is denied to other sports like Rugby and Football , who are barely p1

  • p2. barely tolerated in most schools , such is the stranglehold the GAA has over the Irish Catholic schools , in which they are allowed without question to indoctornate children from the day they start school to the day they leave in the ways and games of the GAA. No other sport is allowed such privlage, if we can use that word . I know of several Catholic schools were despite repeated request from other sports , particulary Football and Rugby, who have asked as part of their p2

  • p3. on going promotion of their games in schools , to be allowed to interduce their games to the children . Two out of the three schools compleatly ignored their request over a seven year period. Yet the GAA were allowed on going acess to promote. One of scholls had in that seven year period a headmistress who took over from a dyed in the wool GAA headmaster ,for a 3 year period she allowed all sports equal acess in her school , despite constant pressure by pro GAA parents p3

  • p4. and even had to endure snide and ignorant comments from bigwigs within the local GAA club, about her being a sell out and allowing forign games into the school. The headmistress bravely ignored the taunts and insults from with the local GAA and vowed that the children under her care would have the right to be interduced to, and play all sport on equal terms. For the three year period their scholl went out to various Rugby , Football organied events

  • p5. and were the only Catholic school in the area who attended. Several bigoted GAA parents did not allow their children to attend, such is the ingrained bigotry sowed by the GAA. Sadly for the past 2 years she has taken leave to be part of a goverment comission . Under the new deputy head , also a female it back to square one , and in the last 2 years the children have not attened one single organised Rugby or Football event. This is only one small example of the p5

  • p6. stranglehold the GAA has built up within the Catholic schools and local Catholic community throughtout Ireland. Blame for much of the bigotory and ignorance within much of the Irish Catholic community towards Football and Rugby can be squarely laid at the door of the GAA , who for over a century with their notorious anti forign game policy and rules has been ingrained into the phyce of the Irish Catholic , and will take further genarations to eradicate such hatred.

  • @houlhersteady

aye and sure they invited the queen to Croke Park to furthure incite hatred!! your talking utter bolox!! the GAA was founded to promote the Irish identiy not to incite hatred!!! if you want that kinda of organisation you just have to look at the Orange Order!!

  • @JPcelticfc The GAA knows thats it is in serious decline in many parts of Ireland , Stickfighting for instance is now only taken serious in about 9 counties , whilst Bogball is still played in all counties but attendances in the past 5 years showing alarming decline . Someone recently posted on a website recently that it now time for the GAA to slowly and quietly wither up a die. The GAA only survives because of indoctornation in the vast majority of Catholic schools.

  • @houlhersteady STICKFIGHTING?

  • I love how when he's saying how great Croke Park is at 1:32 they block out the Hill!! It does let the stadium down from an aesthetic point of view, but it's where the best craic is!!

  • far better than pussy soccer.

  • Makes me proud to be Irish!

Brits run it down becuase they are sickened to see how unbritish Ireland is.

Other countries run it down because they were n't smart enough to invent any of their own games and don't have a strong heritage.

    Beanneacht Dia an GAA!

  • i've recently started playing this at uni, is it right that when the ball is on the floor you have to chip it up, and not pick it up with your hands? Also, if the ball is on the floor and you and a player on the opposing team are going for the ball, do you still have to chip it up or can you dive on the ball in order to keep posession.

    thanks

  • @14magicpenguins No you still have to chip it into your hands.

Unless your a goalkeeper and yr inside the square - or a female.

  • @14magicpenguins In Ladies Gaelic you can lift the ball up but in Mens the ball must be scooped up by your foot before your hands touch it = Kick the ball gently into your hands when over the ball.

And no sorry you can't dive on the ball. But a solution to keeping possession is simply

    - when an opposing player is running for the same ball as you run fast :L

-if you do get to the ball first bend over it and use the scooping the ball off the ground technique

    cont.

  • @14magicpenguins

    cont.

-if a player pushes you or strongly touches you as you bend over to get the ball, a foul will be awarded and you will be given a free kick .

    hope it helped :)

  • I prefer association football.

  • It is also an understanding of football which not very popular comparening to others but still is a sport that some people like. So all sports must be tolerated and not be discussed as gay or real mans game. I am a football fan, the only game which is really the most played by feet, but gaelic football is pretty interesting, even tho i wouldnt play it:D

  • Anyone watch the GAA BOGBALL thug feast on Sundays all Ireland?. Notice how the GAA boggers copied FIFA and Rugby style match build up with flags and large banners on the field. The Cork BOGBALLERS after the tropywas presente to them went back on to the pitch and started to mimic how they see Footballers and Rugby players celebrate, some boggers had a go at belly slides in the muck . The whole prematch and after match was nothing more than a carbon copy of what they stole from FIFA

  • @houlhersteady Cool story bro! You're so cool and that! Ha ha, bogballers! That's so funny, did you make that up yourself?

  • @jarsonist The term BOGBALL or BOGBALLERS was not invented by myself. The term BOGBALL which is widely used today to decribe the GAA game of GAELIC Or GAYLICK, was coined by a well known Irish Catholic jouranlist who had a intense hatred of the GAA and all it stands for . His hatred of the GAA started when he started primary schoool and like the vast majority of Irish Catholic children he was forced to play GAYLICK /GAELIC as part of the schools sports. He like most of p1

  • p2 of the children wanted to play real Football , and in Ireland at that time Manchester United , Spurs, and a long list of other Football teams were hero worshipped as they still are today. Their Football heros then were icons like George Best, Pele, Eusebio, Dennis Law, Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Charlton, etc etc. But backward Irish Catholic Ireland still stuck to outdated anti Football and Rugby bigotory, Which was fuelled by the GAA who banned any Catholic from playing or p2

  • p3. belonging to a GAA club if they were caught watching , playing , membership , of a Football or Rugby club. The GAA constantly demonised Football , Rugby , and Cricket as forign games , Garrision Games , English games , British ettc , and not fit for good young Irish Catholics to play. The GAA in effect linked playing Football . Cricket , or Rugby as being pro British, and it worked particulary well in most rual areas were many young Catholic curtailed their intrest in p3

  • p4. the so called forign or British games for fear of being thought of as sell out or tratiors to Irish Catholic Nationalisim. The GAA thrived due to the demonising of so called forign games , particulary in rual Ireland , and Football and Rugby etc , never were allowed to grow popular in these communites as it has in normal communites throughtout the rest of the world. Many brave young Catholic despite the sanctions imposed by the GAA if caught playing so called forign games p4

  • p5. braved ridicule , or bein called tratior etc and played Rugby , or Football covertly . Many tell the tale of having to travel upwards of 20 miles or more to villages and towns they were not known in to play Football or Rugby , and to register and play under a false name, so as to be able to play the game of their choice. The GAA were notorious in those days gone by for sending what could be best decribed as spys to local Football and Rugby matches and clubs and to p5

  • p6. report back if any GAA members were found playing , watching or belonging to Rugby or Football clubs. If a Catholic was caught playing a so called forign game and he also belonged to a GAA club , he or she would be banned from the GAA , if he or she was not a member of the GAA , then the sanction would normally be a ban on playing Gaelic games and GAA membership. The GAA law banning any member of playing , watching , or belonging to a sport club demmed forign or British p6

  • p7. was removed only a decade or so ago , due to intense outside pressure from various quarters , particulary the Irish Goverment , who threatned to withold large grants and aid which the GAA depends on to prosper. The GAA still to this day refuses to allow either Rugby or Football ( exception Croke Park) to be played on GAA pitches etc.. It has come under intense pressure to do away compleatly with this bigoted rule but steadfastly refuses.. The GAA is now without doubt in p7

  • p8. in decline , from the hedays of the 80s and late 90s. and numbers published by the GAA show alarming decline in numbers attennding major fixtures , particulary the All Ireland championships games ( exception All Ireland Finals) . In the past four years the numbers attending has shown a steady decline , ove the previous four years. In BOGBALL the decline in the past four years is 1.3 millon less than the previous four years. The GAA hastried to blame the economy for the p8

  • p9.decline , but such decline has not been seen in other sports , particulary Football and Rugby, so their theroy is easily rubbished. The most likely reason for the decline is that the young Irish Catholic is more educated and travelled and looks upon the GAA as a outdated body with games no one elses on the planet plays and no International outlet, coupled with GAA links to outdated Irish Nationalisim and links to the Catholic Church. Young Irish youth want to be part of p8

  • p9. a wider International community ,and the GAA is seen as a Irish oddity which is very much stuck in the past and its games will never ever have any chance of bein International or popular ouside of Catholic Nationalist/Republican Ireland. The fact that the GAA has to steal ideas , fashions , trends rules from Football and Rugby , codes it spend a century or more demonising tell how desprate the GAA is to salvage the decline which without doubt is well on the way.

  • @houlhersteady Too long, didn't read! Who invented the term Knackerball, the sport of choice of tinkers like yourself?

  • Kanckerball , honestly can say I have never ever heard the term before in my life , thats says a lot about how common a term it is. BOGBALL is not the only name Gaelic is known as , its now quite common for people to call it GAY LICK , or the one getting very popular , PADDYBALL. Have also seen it decribed as THUGBALL and HILLBILLYBALL . Anyway who cares what it called I stick to BOGBALL, as it is a game for big thick Catholic Boggers.

  • @houlhersteady Seriously pal, take your sectarian shit and shove it! There's no room for ignorant, small-minded, bigots like you in todays world!

  • @jarsonist That a bit rich of you calling my comments sectarian when the GAA owes it birth to blind Catholic sectarian bigotory. Can you enlighten us all to what other sports body in the world forbids it grounds etc being used by other sports. Also what other sport body in the world is linked to a particular religion and politics . When your at it name one other sporting body in the world that names it stadiums , grounds , trophys , events after dead Terrorist?,

  • @houlhersteady Nah, you're a sectarian cnut! Please fcuk off back to the 17th century where you belong

  • @jarsonist Typical Irish Catholic Bogger , ask him a question that he does not want to answer and he goes of in a swearing name calling abusive childish rant that only a uneducted Irish Catholic GAA BOGGER is best at. If you can engage your thick brain answer the questions.

  • @houlhersteady Nah! You're a sad individual! Get yourself a life, before your sectarianism destroys all possibility of ever having one!

  • @jarsonist Can you tell us why the GAA names it trophys after dead terrorist, Tell us why no self respecting member of the Protestant community are anyway whatsoever involved in the GAA. Why is the GAA often called the IRA AT PLAY, or , THE GAA IS THE SPORTING WING OF THE IRA. When you at it tell us why the GAA linked to the pedofile ridden Catholic Church and Irish Nationalist/Republican sectaria politics. That will keep your small brain ticking , more than likely fuck it up. lol.

  • @houlhersteady What is your major malfunction Billy?

  • @houlhersteady Please rewrite that in either English or Irish so I can understand your sentiments! Your grammar is appalling! I won't even mention your spelling! Are you drunk? What is all this religious mumbo-jumbo you're on about? I've played rugby and GAA in four countries, on two continents and never heard anyone mention religion ever!

  • @jarsonist My spelling or grammar is not the issue here , just answer the questions. You played BOGBALL in four countries , fucking hell that must a been some mission , as not one fucking other indegenous nation on the planet plays the GAA UGLY GAMES , despite being contrived from other games by ultra right wing Catholic just over a century ago .

  • @houlhersteady Actually, your spelling and grammar are part of the issue here. Literacy conveys a certain level of intelligence where an individual may be taken seriously in a debate. You've already failed the most basic spelling and grammar requirements to enter an Irish second level educational institute. You must be British!

  • @jarsonist Are we going to anwers the questions or are you going to spend all your time going on abou my poor spelling and grammar. ?.

  • @houlhersteady What questions? It's so hard to take you seriously! I'll tell you what, give me a list of questions and I'll answer them. However, the catch is that you have to promise to get an education. Education is free in Ireland by the way, it's non-religious and non-sectarian as well.

  • @jarsonist Great that a last your going to nswer a question. Why does the GAA name trophys , grounds , clubrooms etc after dead IRA terrorist, and Catholic priest , bishops , etc.

  • @houlhersteady Well they have to name some grounds and trophies after Catholics. If they named all the trophies, the Sam Maguire cup is a good example, or all the stadiums, like the Dr Douglas Hyde Park, after protestants, then the GAA wouldn't be a non-sectarian organisation. Protestants founded the GAA. Today people of all creeds, and none, play the GAA sports.

  • @jarsonist You have named two Protestants who had trophies called after them , that nearly a century ago , their not been many since. Name a few in the last decade or so , that not keep you busy. lol.

  • @jarsonist Maybe be wrong to generalize the whole of British society, but having worked there for a year, I can see where your coming from!

  • @culchie1982 *you're

  • @culchie1982 Agree , cant generalize all of British society no more than we can generalize all of Irish society.

  • @houlhersteady I'll try and be gentle with you, but I won't promise anything.

  • @culchie1982 Never mind the smart arse talk , just anawer the questions.

  • @houlhersteady I have no need to engage in "smart ass talk" in dismantling you, I'll use infinitely superior intellect and reasoning instead. Are you game?

  • @culchie1982 Here we go a smart ass ,who refuses to even anwer one question as he knows he beat before he strts. ;lol.

  • @houlhersteady Secondly you state you are a lifetime student, I can assume that all this free time on your hands, has in someway contributed to all that sectarian bigotry and hatred which has built up inside you. Shame really.

Thirdly you seem to make the ridiculous aspersion that anybody associated with the GAA, is uneducated or "thick". Have you ever listened to the average yob footballer or football supporter in England try to string a coherent sentence together?

  • @culchie1982 I not here to answer for a tiny minority of English Football supporters or players. Why is it when someone ask the hard questions about the GAA , you always get a rant about Football and England for a answer.

  • Fucking hell , both culchie1982 and his sidekick jarsonist were going to wipe the floor with me , now they have done a runner after a few post. lol

  • @houlhersteady Also you can't join the orange order if you're Catholic, on the other hand you can join the GAA if you are a Protestant. These are irrefutable facts which can't be argued against.

Best stopping while you are behind now Houlhersteady. However from looking at your previous messages, I suspect you will be on here still in 6 months time spewing out your vile hated. My advice - bury the hatchet with yourself.

I'm away to bed, I'm tired now Fhear Manach Abu

  • @culchie1982 What a clever guy you are , A Catholic cannot join the Orange Order. Why the fuck would a Catholic want to join the Orange Order a body set up for Protestant only . Jews , Muslims , Hindus, etc cannot join it just as those religions have bodys that also have strict rules that requires you to a member of the faith before joining. It not something the Orange Order only practise.

  • @houlhersteady I'm a lot more intelligent than you. Just be safe in that knowledge. :)

  • @culchie1982 Your a tosser , you thought you were in for a easy time , but you are on the run already, no were to turn only offer up lies and bollocks for answers.. Your GAA is built on narrow sectarian bigotory. A FAI official once said that Croke Park was a shrine to bigotory. The GAA is in decline , and even the GAA bastards themselves admit this and the sonner it of the backs of Irish society the better for all.

  • @houlhersteady Ha, ha, ha! I was just wondering what your modus operandi was! Holy cow, you must be the most bigoted person to ever stalk this fair green isle! What a twat!

  • @jarson Typical GAA BOGMAN, up for debate untill the hard questions are asked , then resorts to abuse , name calling and rants about Orange Order, and Football holligans etc in England etc. Answer one question at least. Why is it that the vast majority of the Protestant community in Ireland treat the GAA with great suspicion and even after 100 hundred years of existence the GAA cannot in one single village, town , city , claim that the Prostestant community are part of their local GAA.

  • @houlhersteady Excuse me! Please point out where I mentioned the Orange Order, hooligans or England. You really are a nutjob!

  • @houlhersteady Firstly your Youtube profile confuses me, you state that you are from Ireland and that you like Irish music etc. This leads me to believe you are either a Protestant "Southerner" (which I have no problem with whatsoever) or a Catholic from the South who has right wing tendencies (you know the kind, Zionist / Imperialist loving conservatives). Perhaps you could clarify this for me.

  • @culchie1982 Yes into Irish music , ( not it all) cant stand that little arse licking cunt Bono or Bonehead , but Irish music is ok with me. Not a lover of the filthy Zionist , liars the lot of them.Thats that out of the way hope my profile is a little clearer to you now.

  • @houlhersteady I can see your point regarding grounds, trophies etc being named after famous republicans etc however I'm only interested on the game taking place on the field of play and nothing else. It is afterall a sporting organization and not a political one. The same cannot be said for the orange order however (Listen to the speeches in fields after the 12th of July, they talk more about constitutional / Political issues and also have an unhealthy pre occupation with the Pope).

  • @culchie1982 Shit man , have you not worked it out yet , the Orange Order has fuck all to do with sport. As for the Pope , he a rotten twisted , lying cunt with a Nazi history who moved pedofile Bishops and priest from one place to another to hide them and let them carry on abusing children . Dont tell me you see this cunt as something to look up to. If he was a ordinary bloke and not protected by his status then he would have been strung up years ago.

  • @culchie1982 So you call Terrorist who set bombs in the middle of pubs, towns , markets etc and murdred men women and children republicans ?. and you support people and think it clever for the GAA to honour their names/.

  • @houlhersteady Are you Jim Allister in disguise?

  • @culchie1982 Shit , a couple of post and you beat already. Their no getting away from the facts , the GAA is a sectarian body , with close links to the Catholic Church , Nationalist/Republican politics and names its grounds after dead Terrorist, and member of the pedofile ridden Catholic Church. It also is the only body in the world that does not allow other sport to be played on it stadiums , grounds etc. . It also has endorsed the political goal of a Catholic run United Ireland.. facts

  • Why the call it football if it's played with the hands????

  • gaa is Monty Python football, the most ridiculous load of nonsense ever to come out of Ireland. It was born out of a silly nationalist gesture that mixed politics wjth sport and produced the most convoluted, complicated load of crap ever seen on a sports field,In a world where all sport is simple, straightforward, and to the point e.g.soccer,racing,athletics etc the Gaa endevoured to invent a game where you drop the ball to your foot, kick it back to yourself, bounce it then drop it to your foot again

  • fuck off soccer Gaelic Football is best sports

  • Wow, its like a version of soccer that doesn't SUCK!

  • @qvklm soccer doesn't exist, only football, you fckin yank, i don't care about yer armored rugby

  • Thierry Henry is wasted playing soccer.............

  • gheylic footballs

  • What a horrendously awful sport. Talented people play hurling, hacks play football. Gaelic Football is a lot like mass in Ireland, nobody can really enjoy it but sure its something to do on a Sunday.

  • Guinness is French

  • How did the IRA cause the 1920 murder?. People, if you dont like the IRA, thats fair enough. But dont be Ryan turbirdy Ignorant. Listen, Im no fan of the IRA, but I understand the idea held by the people who want Ireland to be free. When you have had a gun held in your face by a londoner who hasnt the faintest idea what he is doing in a 2 bedroom house in Belfast then you can make your bullsit statement. The english have no place in Ireland, all military of the queen should go and never return.

  • @bapfontein have to say mate, without doubt that is the most ignorant and pathetic statement Ive ever heard concerning GAA spoprts. Let me give you a bit of info, The GAA is a charity, designed to aid the starving children of Ireland. Sam MAcGuire, A protestant, was one of the founders of the GAA and hence has the Gaelic Football trophy named after him. My Club in Belfast have plenty of Protestants playing the game, so your statement is totally wrong. If you wish to meet me on the ormeau road?

  • WTF is with all these people liking the hate comments..its a sport, an old sport that is part of our heritage, its has NOTHING to do the with fucking IRA which by the way does not have the support of much of the catholic community..we want peace as much as anyone else and the IRA are hampering the peace process along with protestant paramillitaries! so stop being so fucking ignorant and full of hate, its a sport, a game go vent your ignorant hatred where its wanted, like nazi camp.

  • @nealmcc204 hey... stfu cuz no one cares how bankrupt and unpeaceful your country is

  • here ye whingy plonkers next thing ye'll be trying to convince us that cricket is a sport

  • Gay lick football? if the women are that bad swim to US or UK.

  • @mickCburt95 Correct the IRA is not one of the most popular organisations in Ireland , but none the less it took countless millons to fund them . They had huge support amongst a large cross section of Irish Catholics. and a larger number of people despised them. You ask the question why would the GAA seceretly fund the IRA when it was them who casued the 1920 massacre conts 1

  • @bapfontein contd 2. Your the first person who I have debated this with from a GAA stand point who has ever admitted the IRA were the case of the killings. Most Irish Catholic and GAA people never mention the part the IRA played in the lead up to the killings, and this includes the GAA who only highlight that a un provked massacre took place by the British. They never ever blame or point out the IRA hand in provoking the killings.contd

  • @bapfontein contd 3. so therefore I do not understand you saying the GAA blamed the iRA for the 1920 massacre. The GAA has always named it grounds , trophies etc after dead Irish rebels as they were known then and still right up untill recently they have continued this tradition only the name rebel is changed to Terrorist. This proves they approve of whatever methods the Irish take to reunite the country as is a declared GAA ideal.

  • @bapfontein Lots of protestants in the 6 counties are starting to play Gaelic games and abandon their british roots.

Google 'Cross community GAA ni' and you'll see

Stands to sense... some of the greatest IRA men in Irish history were prods.. including the founding father of Irish unity... Wolfe Tone

  • @Eirinn4ever fuck off talking about the IRA

  • @bapfontein You really and truly are out of your depth here young cricketer, away you go and have your nice little cup of tea and play your non contact little gay sports when us men get on with the real deal.

  • @mickCburt95 Thanks for admitting many of my points are factual , most GAA HILLBILLIES , just bury their heads in the sand and shout liar , and abuse when confronted about documented facts about the GAA . They are easy to tie in knots , as they contradict themselves so much. You claim that several of my facts listed are wrong , but like them you fail or cannot point them out. Can you please do so ?.

  • To all GAA HILLBILLIES out there. 1. Name one other country in the world where PADDYBALL /BOGBALL is played by the ethnic population of that country. 2. Name any other sport in the world that is linked to one particular religion . 3. Name one other sport body in the world that involves itself in politics and endorses and fully supports a political ideal, re Irish reunification. 4. Name any other sport that secretly and covertly helped fund a Terrorist organisation , (IRA). contd 1.

  • @bapfontein contd 2. 5. Name any other sport in the world that demonsied games which they call forign , garrision games , and English games. 6. Name any other sports body in the world that still has a rule that no so called forign sports are to be played on their grounds. 7. Name any other sport in the world that grounds , pavillions , clubrooms etc are not declared officialy opned untill a Catholic religious service and blessing is carried out. 8. Name any other sport in contd 2.

  • @bapfontein contd 3. the world that names it grounds after dead Terrorist. 9. Name any other sport in any country that a large section of the population (Protestant ) has little or nothing to do with with it , due to the fact its seen as a semi political religious sporting body linked to one religion and supports a particular political agenda. Their are many more questions , but that enought for the GAA HILLBILLIES to answer for now.

  • This game does look like fun i must admit, i play football (soccer) myself....i remember them showing a gaelic football final live on channel 4 once in the early 90's...have always wanted to play ever since but being not irish & from london there was just nowhere to go & no-one to play with.

  • The GAA games are squlaid games , BOGBALL/PADDYBALL and STICKFIGHTING . The games are nothing more than a excuse for violence and thuggery , and they are played mainly by HILLBILLIES and FARMERS BOYS. The best thing for this Irish pastimes is for the GAA to be taken out and beaten to death and never blight the Irish landscape ever again.

  • The GAA is the most popular sport in the 6 counties... fact. It has the most clubs and the most spectators. Are you just an english bigot who is sickened at the thriving success that is the GAA and the political currency that Sinn Fein get out of the GAA i.e. tricolours, The Irish anthem before games etc etc.

Was in Britain there recently, feel sorry for you dude. Saw nothing but foreigners, fast food joints and off licences. In short, a dump... nothing 'great' about britain lol!

  • @eire32freedom What is your GAA?. Its a semi political , religious and so called sporting body. It has supported the terror gangs of the IRA , by helping to fund it covertly for decades durning the recent sectarian conflict. Its is also closely linked to the Pedofile ridden Catholic Church, Your GAA and its Ugly contrived games despite being in existence contd1.

  • @bapfontein for over a century , has failed miserably to attract one other ethnic naton on the planet of billions to play th Ugly Games. Your GAA , and well you knbow it , only survies amongst the Irish Catholics , because it drummed into virtually every Catholic school going child from primary school to they leave secondary school. Your beloved GAA even admits its under severe pressure from real games contd2

  • @bapfontein contd 3. like Rugby and Football , and only recently admitted that attendances at major games are going over the past three years. The past weekend was glaring evidence of the decline of the GAA, at Croke Park the stands were virtually empty for the leauge finals, several years ago the same finals upwards of 10 thousand or so at each match. Even RTE has admitted to enhancing the sound for live matches and highlights contd 3.

  • @bapfontein contd4. to make it appear the game are more exciting and thousands more in attendance. Even the commentators have been told to liven the coverage up by pretenting the games are thrillers. In a nut shell your GAA is a ethnic, religious, so called sporting body that not another nation on the planet has any intrest what s ever in. Cant say that about Football and Rugby etc.

  • getting owned again isee

  • As religion is now a private matter, it 's only a matter of time ,before members of the Prodestant community ,start playing in large numbers. Still, it's not a game for fainthearted or cowardly individuals! It's a MANS GAME , and only the bravest of MEN , can play at the highest level. Antrim and Down , with their large Protestant populations , have a huge untapped well of talent!

  • @houlhersteady i thought the gaelic athlethic association was founded to protect irish culture which the british were attempting to exterminate, surely ireland was entitled to an organisation to protect its culture itself from the murderous colonisers???

and hurling has been around hundreds of years so youre wrong on both counts ..... god im good

  • lol im irish and i went to austrailia im here now and i have to say. . IM MELTING!!!! AHHHH!!!

  • Wish the Irish would still play the Australians

  • @TheProudAussie Aren't they??? I though the Aussie rules games between Australia and Ireland still happen! It did in 2008! Nat sure bout 2009, but id say they playd too! Mayb here actually in croke park!! Am i wrong??? U heard different down under?

  • @houlhersteady Possibly the most retarded comment I've ever read on Youtube

  • @houlhersteady your a faggot!

  • only thing good about this you dont have to buy a new Hurling stick every time you brake it.

  • Fuck soccer man. Call it Soccer, not football.Soccer Fucking Sucks.

  • @shgibby61981 shut up you fucker...stop calling it soccer.cause its played with the foot..its called football...call american football...fatball.. it is a bunch of fat pigs

  • its like football, basketball, rugby, volley ball, netball all mixed up together by a mad man.

This sport looks fun and I wish this sport was introduced in P.E.

My God it actaully looks fun.

2:49 surely that better than Beckham.

  • I nearly died with laughter after that comment by wellesradio

I haven't laughed like that since man u lost to fulham.

  • My PE teacher's Irish + she might try to teach us this. It looks complicated though :S

  • @DEFiiANCE It is complicated. The rulebook's two miles long!

  • @DEFiiANCE Yea she should teach you!! The craic is mighty hi! Also a gud way to vent any frustrations ye have, although ladies gaelic football is non-contact, ye can also get a dig n somewer tho! lol! And its nat dat wile complicated once you get da hang af it! Enough practice and ul get a lot of da basic skills ta make a start!

  • This was mighty useful, thanks to whoever created this and whoever posted it. I just learned about this game the other day and I am impressed (American here and I'd only somewhat even heard of Aussie football through some marines who like playing it). I do wish someone would post these types of videos for all of the world's football games.

  • omg, im french, and i didnt know Gaelic football

Thats a pure game, very good

  • Damn right-b proud of ur culture and heritage-I was behind maurice fitz when he kicked that leveler vs dublin in thurles. Without GAA I wudnt hav anyting-soccer relies on GAA players during their off season-A gud football match is a gr8 spectical-a bad one can be pretty ugly-but how many countries hav their own sport. I bet it is played in ur country-NFL is all about corporatism-shite.

  • Fuck the lot of you . why should the Catholic Irish apoligise for being what we are, and the games we play. To hell with the english games of Rugby, Cricket, and Football. Games for poofs. Put any of those english protestant bastards on a Gaelic or Hurling pitch , and we will soon see who are the real men. The IRA taught the Orange Protestant bastards and the brits a lesson. For fuck sake lets stop being embarased by our Irish Catholic Nationalist culture.

  • @riseingstur The Scots would disagree here. While I can see you calling Scots players poofs, I don't see you proving that on the field.

  • You think this is hard ? Our national sport in Australia is called Australian Rules Football and its gaelic football; but played with a rugby ball ! To see some spectacular stuff, simply type in 'Up There Cazaly'. We actually play an international test series against Ireland, where the rugby ball is used for test games in Australia.

  • @riseingstur youre an embaressment to GAA followers. most of us dont give a shite what religion or nationality people are (by the way there are tons of protestants playing football and playin it well). we only care about the sports, but youre probably the kind of fag that likes the cultural crap that plagues the GAA. if anythin, we shud make the games more unionist friendly. the more people playin the higher the standard.

  • rory198 Why are you ashamed of GAA people who are unashamed about their quaint sports , links to the Catholic Church, IRA , poetry, music , history and the GAA support for a United Ireland. You are a strange follower of the GAA , never came acrooss a GAA follower who wants the GAA to disown what it was set up for. That was to protect the Irish Catholic idenity of Church, music, dance sport, and other Irish Catholic past times. You appear very ashamed of this why?.

  • rory198 Tell me Pat what shite are you on?, or better still what fucking planet are you on?. Your statement that the GAA should make the games more Unionist friendly is the best laugh I ever had on GAA post. As you appear to be a know all why do you not lets us all see your plans how they should do it. You say lots of Protestant play exactly where do they play. For starters name half a dozen Protestant county players in Ireland. that should be no problem as so many now play.
