Actually, the only person I know who has bought one actually returned it. He said it's shoddily buillt, the screen cracked and the seem started to fall apart after only a week. As a former Treo owner, I am not surprised, Palm puts out crap. They went downhill after the palm pilot.

I too have had a pre since launch, and have had no durability issues. Its as well built as any other cell phone Ive had with moving parts.

As far as not being caught dead with a phone, as a result of a commerical.. its more likely that you'll avoid the phone because it would be too easily lost in your man purse..
