  • Blowing a steer has been one of my worst fears in my 10 years of driving. This video is very helpful, thank you! (course, I'm still hoping and praying that I never have that problem!

  • I learned this years ago, and because of that, I was able hang on tight, accelerate slightly, and got the truck off to the shoulder. I knew I was in trouble when a man I recently drove team with (bragged of 27 years of safe driving) did not know this simple technique.

    Also, it's important that drivers do not get into the habit of resting their right hand/arm on the gear shift, but to keep both hands on the wheel as much as possible. The wheel jerks out of your hand on a steer tire blow-out.

  • I've had two steer tire blowouts over 30 years of driving. They don't happen too often but it's good to know how to handle it. Thanks for the vid!
