my horse has been bucking like this and im at such a loss of what to do. Its only when hes in the canter. He gave my friend a concusion and has ruined my confidence in riding him
haha loved it! really nice job. some people just dont get it but some horses need the "get to the point and bite the bullet" type of training. I like how you do it.
I watched it a couple more times. I've ridden out some bucks in my day but you topped the cake on that one. I don't know how I've missed this video in the past but I sure enjoyed it today. Thanks for the reply. Jen
Paul, did you "tap" this baby a couple of times first? A good HARD tap? Did this horse ever get the message after you left? The other two in the video didn't look like they had a clue of how or what to do with this horse. Very intimidated by this baby. I would be too!!! As usual, you were great. Jen
Hi Jen, these guys tried to start the horse a few times but she did them in and really did a job on their confidence. There wasn't much I could do for the horse in one visit but I did manage to show the guys she wasn't a deadloss and to keep at it.
did you ever find out how the filly went after you left? she make it?...your aussie rite? just came back from oz and decided to have a go at trackwork and pretrainers over there, if thats where u learnt to ride i can see why you stick- i forget how many times i got floored, still makes english racehorses seem pretty easy!
cthere was so many things wrong with that first of have u ever thought about giving the horse time and not forcing and whats up with the bit u should never "teach" a horse 2 ride with a bit all u did was ride the buck out of it (for now) that horse is going 2 have problems down the road
Sorry, but your not old enough to comment or understand what's going on here.
For starters, it's a racehorse and it's regulation to use bits and secondly, there is no "down the road" for this horse, it was dog meat if there was no progress. Come back in 10 years and I'll think about explaining it for you.
heheh im such a chicken, i could never do that! well actually i did it once on a threeyearold largepony, my friend was supposed to be leading me, and the pony reared and took off, needless to say we were dumb and just put a halter on with no leadrope.. heheh but your amazing with them! do you live in japan?
I got scared when I was watching this video. I fell down a few months ago durind horse riding. My horse got frightened of horn. I had to stop riding for a while becasue of my health. I am beginner and I hope that some day I won't be afraid next fall because I really love horse riding and horses:)
my horse was like that when she was first broken, its hard work to make them relise whats going on. all i did was just sit in the saddle. hold on and let her get it outta er system... she's great now
All I can say is WOW! Love what you do and how you do it! You look so natural that the horses. Would love to have the oppotunity to learn more from you. As for Coby's comment...seen horses' spirits broke before, and this horse's still looks to be in one piece. Wish morons would keep to them selves when they have no idea what they are talkin about!
Call me a puritan if you will, but that vid. is as it sometimes is. You (me) do NOT want feet in stirrups at that stage!
A text book backing I'd say. And even better, a text-book sticking-on too! I thought I had an arse of velcro, but by God (or someone/thing) you have THE one!! lol
leggedup? (2weeks ago) ...... isn't that the way it should be done?
again i say i wish i could ride like you! you make it look soooo easy! i lost all my confidense with a pretty bad fall a lil over 10 years ago and gradually getting it back.
That was incredible- how do you stick when she PULLED you forward-amazing- have you ever fallen off???? I had to watch the video several times because I did not think that was you eatin dirt!! I have to know- do you think about coming off when they are doing that WILD thing!?? Or do you just know you are gonna ride it out!!! YOU ARE #1 in my book- I would like to see PAT do that bareback!! (or with a saddle...lol...)
I had to let her head go and hang on with my legs otherwise she would have pulled me forward. It wasn't me that came off and I try not to think about it when I ride..too much negative energy will bring you un-done..
Endo's the man....the Eric Clapton of the bareback pad....The Black Superman of gravity defiance and inertia resistance...the Muhammad Ali of "and makes it look easy".
good job way to push a horse to far to fast scare the shit out of it and force submission i guess if you want to break a horses spirit in 30 minutes this is how u do it. nice!!!
Please read the notes before commenting. There was not time. Also, ask the guy that came off about the broken spirit. Actually, tell us what a broken spirit is ?
Uh, this horse had one shot to get broke or get eaten - before you comment, you ought to try to get a little background and know what you're talking about. This isn't some kid's pony in someone's backyard, it's a racehorse in Japan who has a distinct possibility of being someone's dinner if someone didn't "break his spirit" pretty quick. (And I'd say 30 mins was pretty quick - good job, Paul.)
My mouth hit the floor when i read about you video. it say Colt startining in under 30mins. but then i thought well you got off easy your not starting from the ground up. but this is just a video and i have no idea who you are, i will watch your other videos and im sure that will tell me more about, you thanx for the video
Finally, a method of training that appreciates people who can stick like a barnacle, which is the only thing I know I do damn well. Haha great job. Shame you don't do lessons :-(
The boss just watched this vid, his exact words were (god he sit's on pretty good, it's like he's just welded there or something). Just between you and me i think he might have been impressed....
That one really wanted to wake you up Paul lol. Turned itself inside out for you! Great video as usual. Keep em coming......it gives me a valid excuse to forget the housework lol
OK, so that wasn't you that took the spill! I thought you were joking (as usual!) I'm supposed to be working, but I had to watch the video over and over until I identified the toss-ee. Looks like the young man who was initially in the stable with you. Kudos to you and those velcro chaps that adhere to everything! (Just kidding -- we all know that it's just good riding).
I just recently got turned onto your methods and it reminds me of a trainwreck. You aren't sure what's going on sometimes, you're hoping everyone is okay, but you just have to watch! I applaud you and what you're doing. I'm sick to death of the western worlds "Natural Horsemanship" asshats so it's refreshing to see a new take on the problems us humans have given to these creatures.
I love how you get the job done, with the problems. You did a good job. I like your training method for the racehorses. Yes, everyone has say it and you do see it come, but heck, it do not stop me from saying it :)
Thanks, but it was a mistake putting the other guy on. She was ok until she got that one victory which is a little lesson for everyone, you can wreck a young horse with one screw up. It was a catch 22 though because that guy had to ride her the next day so ofcorse you would want to see if he was gonna be ok on her..
Endo.......after recently joining to view your video clips, I am truly amazed. Your balance and co-ordination with these young oclts and fillies is amazing. You are truly an awesome rider........my hat's off to you. Keep up the great video clips, I soooooooo look forward to seeing more of you.
Slippery little devil, wasn't she! Nice video as usual. Except she sure needed more than a half hour with ya...or did you forget your magic wand at home that day???

I'm not worthy, LOL.... Awesome job with that horse!
Endo you are totally incredible!! I've been riding for years, but if I tried to ride through those bucks with only a bareback pad I'd end up in the dirt!
Endo, Ur like the 'Continental Suit' song, cowboy. 'This sure enough bronc buster in a continental suit!' Heeee, heeee! COOL! That's YOU all right! :~)
Oh, YES! My Dressage instructor makes my thighs SCREAM! Bless her HEART! I haven't come off one (KNOCK WOOD!) since I started with her.... Leg, leg, LEG! :~)
"What's the matter, did you break your leg over the weekend? I don't see any left leg today!" Ahhahahhaaa!
