@jiller777: yup, you are right!!! This happened to me! I was in denial because I really loved the Studio Fix Foundation and couldn't find any other foundation that gave me that coverage. But finally I found one, it the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse and it's perfect for me. No breakouts at all.

@megn94 get ready to get ance! Everyone who wears MAC Studio FIX breaks out check out its reviews. I got terrribly cosmetic acne from it along with 75% of others. It was created as a theatrical makup so ur NOT goin to want to wear this everyday, be careful. ANd if u dont belive me just waite and u will start to notice whitheads, and LOTS of clogged pores resulting in acne.

@mili13 it is slightly better and it can help set your makeup slightly- it works better for dry normal skin than oily combo

are you talking about model in a bottle? because there is a difference between the two. model in a bottle makes your makeup stay even in the humid weather but doesn't make you dewy. fix plus makes it dewy but doesn't exactly make your makeup last longer or stay better

@lookinatyouto I've looked for some time I can't find any but if you look here on youtube "how to make mixing medium" you can learn how to make it at home using the same ingredients that are in fix plus. I make my own at home and it works "almost" as good as the fix plus. I like fix plus better though it really makes almost any cheapy product amazing so if you shell out the 18 bucks for fix plus you won't be sorry it really is that GOOD!

Hey lisa, what skin type are you? You said it gives a dewy look, so I was wondering if it wouldn't be advised for oily skin? Sorry you might have said something about it being good or bad for oily skin types but my dad was watching the football and he's really loud when that happens and he's like 2 metres away from me. thanks :)

I've heard of "model in a bottle" as well, it was demonstrated by Oprah's makeup artist on one of her shows years ago.... I think it does the same thing by setting our makeup... I use the make up for ever spray. And use Lisalisad1 trick of blow drying it w/my hair dryer... make your skin look amazing as a final step.

A much cheaper and just as good formula is to buy glycerine (at most grocery stores in the cake section) and mix 1 part glycerin with 9 parts water. Some people prefer using purified water. Shake it, put it in a misting bottle. Just mix small amounts at a time, and don't use it over a month at a time or else it separates. I spray before and after mineral makeup and it is WONDERFUL!

Have you ever heard of Skindinavia? They have different types of makeup finishing sprays for various skin types. I have the original version as well as the 10 years younger one and I find they work really well in terms of extending the wear of my makeup. I've tried the MAC fix plus and the Ben Nye one, and I like Skindinavia the best.

I love your makeup here Lisa! Did you use sweet sienna as an all over lid color, or do you have mylar on the lid and the sweet sienna in the crease? It's hard to tell. Love it though, very pretty! I bought indian girl shadow as a dupe for the pigment you are wearing ;)

I've known people to use it as a toner and hair detangler as well. I've never used it as a toner, but I've used it to help detangle my hair while traveling or out of my normal detangler, and it worked like a dream!
