i think many recreational drugs have huge medical benefits but because of the fear and scaremongering from the anti drugs lobby research into these amazing tools for solving not only physical but psycological problems, LSD, magic mushrooms and ecstacy could all be a breakthrough for the psycologists but because of the stigma it just hasn't been explored

That's excatly why he shouldnt be president. Everyday ill and dying people mediclly using cannabis in the safety of their own home are raided by the DEA and arrested, fined, mistreated, and in jail for long periods of time. How is that not a priority?

I'm not saying Cannabis is completely benign or for children (unless authorized by a doctor) but if it wasn't a relatively safe and effective medication do you think The American College of Physicians, 124,000 strong, would release a position paper endorsing medical marijuana in Feb 08.
