There lives a king as yet unknown, married to an empress kept hidden from the world. He wears the crowns of many vast nations and rules with benevolence while living amongst the people. His name is Unknown and his accomplishments are even further unknown. Even the royals of Europe know to hold him in high regard, yet his own people ridicule him, unaware that they speak to their king. All Hail the King Unknown, Prince of Peace, Anointed of Arabia, Guardian of the Earth, and Servant of Man!
Norway, Denmark, Swedem, UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Monaco, Liechtenstein all Constitutional Monarchies and all belong to the most wealthiest nations of Europe and the world lets keep Monarchies in Europe they do nothing bad only good.
@Getzrules I vouch for you as well: the Republic destroyed my country. Just do the math: 500 years with a Monarchy, Portugal flourished as the first global empire. In just 100 years, the Republic destroyed EVERYTHING that took so much effort to build. Republics are more prone to corruption than Monarchies - and that's a fact. A Constitutional Monarchy is the best way to keep our values, traditions, culture and history in Europe.
@AvatarMarxon90 Constitutional monarchies are just crowned republics. No difference. The rule of errant politicians out to win elections and hold on to the privileges of power.
@Getzrules Well - I'm a Monarchist, so you have my support. The only thing I don't agree with you is that Royals should have more power. Because let's face it: that's a two-pointed-sword. Nicholas II of Russia had the power no monarch in Europe had. What happenned? He wasn't a good Monarch (although he was an excellent family man).
@Getzrules Exactly! Couldn't agree more with you. Both world wars (especially the First) feels like nobody has won. Each side lost. The Second World War is more complicated, because of the Nazi Germany and their crimes against humanity.
No royal family is more important than any other. England doesn't have a royal family as it died out in 1603 and the Scots king took the English throne.
@Dunsapie Doesn't England's royal family really come from Germany? Their real name was Witgett or Wittgetstein. They changed it to Windsor in the early 20th century, around the time they learned to speak English and lost their German accents. They are really German.
@NumberDne Wrong. Their real name is Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (because of the marriage of Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha with Victoria of Hannover, or simply, Victoria of Kent). King George V, during the First World War, changed the name of his family, and ordered that several other families (tied to the Royal Family) changed their names. Instead of the Battenberg, you have now Mountbatten for example. Instead of being Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, George V changed their name to Windsor. End of story.
@AvatarMarxon90 Ok i see your point, It wasnt nazi germany at the time, it was just war against germany. But the germans were still acting like nazis in the first world war anyway.
@NumberDne LOL! Well, I understand Germany's side: they were just honouring an alliance they had with Austria-Hungary. They tried to get advantage of it (for if they had won the war, they would have become the major power in Europe, and perhaps the world, occupying the United Kingdom's place). Anyways, because we Portuguese fought against them (my great-grandfather fought in Battle for La Lys) and because we and the UK have the oldest alliance in the world, I'm glad the Allies won.

@AvatarMarxon90 so what exactly did i get wrong?

@NumberDne You said they changed it because of Nazi Germany. Which is completely wrong.
