It's a drill. chill out. it's meant to help you learn the locks so you can apply them in a fight. we know you would not actually do the whole drill in a real fight and you don't have to be a muscle man to hold a lock. if you know how to manipulate the body you don't have to be. we don't just do simple drills all day. we work grappling and jujitsu. this is supposed to be a learning tool.
considering that in real life he would hold you with completely full strength and probably throw you against a ground/wall/ fracture jaw with elbow etc :P
I think the idea is just to get them thinking about the locks they can make from varied angles so that in the real world they can then fly them face first into a wall or something
hehe true, although unless they have alot of years perfecting this. they will probably be flurried with a rush of blows charged into the chest, picked up throw down and beaten up :( i feel sorry for people like this actualy lol. because in that timespan inbetween pro and beginner they are prety vulnerable..
considering they believe in that middle timespan that they can take the situations easily eh lol. they gotta work on theyre muscle too though lol weak arms wont hold a lock D: i tried lol
I see your point, but these guys are pretty young so it would not really be good for the to be going for the hardcore street style stuff. you need a few more yeas under the belt to grasp those ideas sometimes.
I did traditional stuff for years till i started with more dirty stuff, and that worked well for me. a solid basis in simple, formal styles does pay off as part of a fully developed thinker in reguard to MA. And yeah, if your not using heavy force in training; the real thing will end you.
@knifelover78910 The idea is for them to get familiar enough with the drills that they use them full speed by instinct when they need to... Not the whole drill, just locks and movements from it
verry nice now do both sides and add fingerlocks and more knee foot pressure and you b jammin

great to see kids doing useful drills like these much better to do live drills/skills than forms any day.
