I admire the US Marines because of the size but talking about quality the Marines themselves have stated that some other marine forces in the world are just as good as they are... Im talking about the Royal Marines, the Fusiliers Marins and the Infanteria de Marina to name just a few :D

@Semeiron I totally agree. I don't think the narrator should have said they are "the best in the world" because that's more of an opinion. They might be the most powerful Marine force in the world, but other Marines are just as good, ie: Royal Marines of UK.

That said I am very proud of our forces, my dad was a US Marine for 20 years so I got to know a lot about them. They are truly a force to be reckoned with.

no matter how sophisticated the equipment is, its the rifleman that is the best weapon of all!

the US marines are Huge, in comparisson, our country (netherland) has only 3000 marines. the US marines are larger then our complete armed forces. But it's kinda sad that both forces are bogged down in a endless and useless war in afghanistan. ( been there)

Many U.S Military conflicts were Conducted mostly by the Marines. The First war outside the USA was a Navy Operation.

Well having a marine corp doesn't slow you down exactly, it's all these different branches that don't like working together. Something closer to the Canadian model would keep things tighter each has there own traditions but in the end they are the "canadian armed forces" I'm sure it would save the US money and open up more strike package options if they set there own egos aside.

My best friend went to boot camp today.. She left about 90 minutes ago.. fucking sucks, demotivating as hell. This video is definitely a motivator though. Got 4 1/2 months left before I ship, been in the DEP for 8, it fucking sucks.
