@raychristofer Actually, there are specific rules that govern how high an rc aircraft can go and I believe it's around 400ft agl. Even ultralights aren't supposed to go up above cloud level, but some still do. Also, even so, no aircraft pilot in their right mind would fly that close to the clouds to begin with. They won't even fly through a cloud, unless it's pretty translucent enough to where they can see what's beneath it.

@N476HA Actually I was just in a plane this past August. I have video footage of it, because I recorded my flight from beginning to end(Pa to Fl and back). And like I said, unless the cloud is a thin cloud and not a thick one, pilots generally do not fly through clouds unless there's an opening in them.

@Maximilionalpha I will decend through a cloud no problem. As per. FAR 91.155 a pilot flying in VFR weather is (basically) to reman clear of clouds. When you say pilots won't even fly through a cloud unless it's pretty transluent enough to where they can see what's beneath it you're inferring that your comment applies to all pilots. If you're like me or the thousands of other pilots with an insturment rating then clouds are no factor w/ a little ATC or TCAS, GPS, and good flight planning.

That is one of the most interesting video I've ever seen. You did a excellent job flew that R.C. Funjet over the the clouds without losing the plane, lost the transmitter frequency, no transmitter interference. no flaws. And bring it right back to the earth like it's no big deal. Excellent calculation. You time that just right. Beside where did you get that fpv camera from? I need to get that fpv camera.

But, seriously, I'm flying in an area that I am very familiar with, and I descend beneath the clouds often to verify my position, although I've edited out those parts from the video.
