It isn't a matter of 'feeling' its just bio mechanics. When punching, you get your strength from your hips, when you're on ice skates you don't have that strength - why do you think they can just stand there repeatedly punching eachother in the head? these guys are going toe-to-toe they dont have time to "think" like they would in a boxing ring. they just wanna tee-off on the other guy. and there are lots of hard hits in hockey. search derek boogaard vs fedoruk, or orr vs. fedoruk, or kypreos vs vandenbusche, or hockey knockouts of any type. lots of power in this. these fights hurt me alot more then any sparring ive done. if you think that a hockey fight doesnt hurt if like to give you an invite to a tryout and we can go toe-to-toe in august

He usually got a power into his punches - cracking helmets and jaws and whatnot. I agree that lots of the punches aren't as hard as in boxing, but some enforcers sure had/have the capacity to destroy someone. I also agree that there is less tactics and 'skill' than in boxing, but hockey fights make up for it in heart - what else can you say when you see two guys not even trying to block any punches, and just standing toe-to-toe and throwing them?

I live in Glens Falls, New York. Trevor played here for the Adirondack IceHawks. Tough as nails. Enforcers don't get much better than Senn. Has a temper, but is the type of guy you want watching your players' backs. He can play the game, too.

they played this video on 'the footy show' in australia. they then analysed what the penatly would have been for those two were they playing australian football. from memory tasker was looking at about a 450 game suspension and senn about 380. i love the fact that all they got was 5 minutes in the box. other sporting codes should learn from this.
