Matt Taibi is just about the most brilliant journalist in the US. I love it whenever he's a guest on any show.

Instead of bailing out banks and bankers, he should have nationalized them until they could straighten out and then re-privatize them. Let the risk taking bankers fail and go bankrupt. What Obama has done through his staff is spend a LOT of money and not fixed the underlying problem of re-regulation. I'm a big Obama supporter, worked for him and contributed to his campaign but his actions on this front were very ill advised, IMO.

Have you ever considered why filthy banking interests and U.S. government interests are the same? Of course, you're right bigge525. But there's unfortunately more to it. I agree with Matt Taibi that the blame for the lack or regulation rests 50-50 with Rs and Dems. I addition, Pres Obama and his weasels Geithner and Summers have not handled this properly.

And as far as the corporations having power they need that to be able to execute business properly the dont want any hang ups. the government should be protecting the people and governing the people corporation should be making money and employing people and there extremely organized entities so corporation should play a big role in your country the government and the people will check them when we need to its not a problem so all you liberals calm, down.
