little tip, put the mics like 7-10 cm away from the toms, because in the signal there is a hard peak in the beginning, which can get your problems mixing.

so just try it out, it shoud sound the same, but you wont have that peak. :)

I'm using Evans Coated G2's on the top and clear G1's on the bottom. For the mics I just bought a Shure PG mic kit.
