  • The last time I ever got to see Red Rocks was these shows. Afternoon shows, too. What a beautiful place, what unique acoustics.

  • This was my first Grateful Dead concert! Thanks for posting!!

  • @FunkensteinJr, you're my favorite YouTuber.

  • rja958 do you remember the song after the break for the rain? I remember the sunbeams and Here Comes Sunshine.

This year it was so damn hot. We didn't know about water bottles then. The beer flowed though.

This place is so much Jerry's house, Warren plays a Grateful Dead tune every time he performs here. Last I saw was Morning Dew!

  • Outstanding!

  • Awesome! I guess that was the short vesrsion of broke down palace?

  • Awesome!

  • love your full show uploads! thanks so much.

  • at one Red Rocks show the year before, the cool colorado rain started toward the end of the first set, and then really became a downpour. jerry, laughing, launched into Cold Rain & Snow and we were all screaming along to close the set. good old GD!

  • Thank God I started seeing "the Grateful Dead" in '89. Even though I was only 16 years old, I remember walking into my 1st show ever(12/9/89) and thinking , "Oh my God, I've found MY THING". For an L.A. native to see 42 shows I'm content. They got a pretty bad rap in L.A. in the late '80s & early '90s(due to irresponsible fans!!!). Banned from; The Forum,CS Dominguez, & Irvine Meadows. I saw a lot of No. Cal. shows(9 of the 39 shows ever played at Shoreline & 9 in Oakland). Jerry4ever!!!

  • I always love hearing C C Rider.

  • Love the re-start on Brokedown.

    "Wanna start over?"

  • Dig those PA towers. Healy knew how to bring it! :)

  • This was my son's FIRST GD show,he was two years old at the time...

  • "Let's start over." "Wanna?"

  • @jimsgreenberg

" I dont play on that part ! " LOL

  • @Tennesseejedi22 if you haven't already, check out FunkensteinJr's post of Duke 4-12-78 (full show), Jerry's having a blast.

  • Trouble ahead Jerry in red

  • I so wish that I was born five years earlier or in San Francisco. I got a chance to see Jerry, but I would have seen him so much more if I had been introduced at an earlier age. Probably wouldn't have finished high school though.

    Love and Light

  • @Frenchychef13 It did get in the way of a lot of "life" things, but it is what it is. I still think it was worth it though ;)

  • @Frenchychef13

That really ponks my funny bone. I saw the Dead for the first time when I was 15 at Winterland in San Francisco and became a full-fledged Dead head and acid dealer. I didn't finish high school.

Didn't matter, I never got busted for dealing and got my GED and went to college... Good times.

  • @Frenchychef13 been hangin out with oprisko?

  • @Frenchychef13 I almost didn't because of these guys! It was always 1) Where are the Dead and 2) How am I getting there. Wonderful times for a 17-year old punk. =)

  • I was there! Thanks for sharing!! (~);)
