Why is everyone comparing Davison to Matt Smith? To me he's more Tennant. But then I'm going on pretty scant information. Smith actually seems more like Troughton to me, but a bit overdone.
@littlesmew That's what you call a tank top? I think sweater vest sounds more distinguished. Tank top is the thing you wear when working underneath cars or working out. I've always known these items as sweater vests.
I think it's unfortunate that Peter Davison was never really allowed to be himself when he played the doctor, partly due to the awful scripts. If he were allowed to play the doctor more like the way he played Tristan Farnan, with better stories and more character development, like the Patrick Troughton or Jon Pertwee era, it would have been much better.
Oh dear, how much does Pater Davison remind you of that Matt Smith! Probably just the fact that both of them were so young for the part, but something about Davison's interviews just reminds me of Matt.
My goodness, they are just so cute, giggling the whole time! Are they friends? They sure act like it. And I just caught what Troughton was saying half-way through "doesn't she look different sideways" XD

In the UK what you call a sweater vest is known as a tank-top simple as.
What ever the case I agree that Tennant's Doctor was more like Davison's. Both charming but a bit rude.

'Sweater Vest' sounds so smelly and wrong, please refer to the sleeve-less jumper as Tank Top (given that that is its name).
