It always seems to appear weird when one blasts trance music on 1970s hi-fi gear. Not that it sounds bad, I have a vintage setup that I blast trance on too, sounds better then the new stuff.
Hi Brian, I posted a video response to this video, because I have those Realistic Speakers in my video photo here, you can see one of them in far right of video image on top of larger homemade speaker sitting on floor, powered by 1968 Fisher 250-T stereo receiver.
I agree with you on these great vintage Realistics, I can also add they have a well focused sound stage in the playback from them.

I just got me a pair of MC-1200s, and.... HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! These speakers sound PHENFUCKINGOMINAL!
I thought my 1000s sounded great, but these 1200s blow them right out the window!
The 1200s look really ratty though,
but it's a small price to pay for speakers that sound this awesome! I'm eventually gonna sand and refinish them. Speakers this awesome sounding deserve a nice cabinet.
Thats awesome! I'm glad you like em! My pair definetly isn't in very good cosmetic shape either but I love their sound quality! I got my pair for free from my high school. They've been my main stereo speakers for 4 years now.
ooh i have these ones too. they actually sound pretty good, and kick well if you turn it up. watch out though i almost blew my stereo because of the different impedances between two sets of speakers
How do you hook up your turntables to old tv speakers? They just have the two plug ins in the back where the bare speaker wires go. How do I go from that into the turntable? Thanks
i have almost the same set up in my room,you need to buy an amp,once you do you could hook all kinds of speakers up to it. I have a 700 watt ponier amp and onkyo speakers.old but very loud because of the 15 inch woffer. go on Ebay an type in amps.
nice sounding speakers to bad my midrange and tweeters are starting to die on my speakers so now they just go boom boom boom now lol but i got some small mid bass and up speakers to fix that

The amp I use with these speakers is a newer Teac AG-370 receiver. Nothing fancy.

In my bedroom I have two 1985 85watt warfdale306 speakers that are very powerful that I can only turn my sony hi fi up to volume 10.

You need a preamp and an amplifier these two devices have the right connections. It's not possible to hook up speakers directly to the turntable.
