  • UTINI!!

  • Definitely inspired by Stravinsky.

  • awsome

  • Those who dislike this will have to watch out for those Tuskan Raiders, you soon be Bantha Fodder!!! HA HA!

  • Dislikers are easily startled, but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers...

  • @Rhinogradentian Ahah! That was genius.

  • @EvilHippy38 Thanks! :D

  • 3:15 Tuba Solo.

  • John Williams was inspired by Stravinsky!

Joe Hisaishi has a bit of Stravinsky in his scores as well.

  • @SummerCicadaMusic

Before contacting Williams, George Lucas actually had this scene set to The Rite of Spring, so the resemblance is completely intentional. I agree with you that this isn't much more than a rearrangement, but you can hardly blame Williams for that when he was told specifically to do it this way. He's done tons of other brilliant scores that are far more original.

  • Stravinsky.

  • C-3PO: And if you'll look to the left of me, you'll see the remains of a Greater Krayt Dragon. And if you'll look in front of me, you'll se a Jawa Sandcrawler.

    ... I'M SAVED!!!

    *20 minutes later*

R2: Beep beep! blip click whir! (ha ha! You got caught!)

C-3PO: Oh shut up! You did no better you piece of scrap!

  • C-3PO:what a deselate place this is

  • utini !

  • Is anyone reminded of Home Alone at 3:15.?.sounds like John Williams grabbed this bit for the movie.

  • @PaniniPress I strangely agree with u on dat comment... :\

  • @PaniniPress now that i think of it, it sorta reminds me of home alone too!i can hear it sorta. but i dont think he did

  • @PaniniPress idiot. Home Alone was made a few years ago. This movie was made a few decades ago.

  • @kardas4210 yup, which is why in my comment I say, sounds like John Williams sampled that bit for Home Alone. Your reply makes no sense

  • @kardas4210 but since you are misinformed I will rephrase my sentence. "Is anyone reminded of Home Alone at 3:15? Sounds like John Williams grabbed that part from this song, and later used it for the movie Home alone."

    I apologize for any misunderstanding.

  • I can't get this theme out of my head! UTINI!

  • C-3PO: OH a transport I'm saved HEY OVER HERE HEY HEEEEEYYYYY!!!!!!

  • This is freaking Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring". John Williams is not a composer. He's an arranger.

  • UTINI

  • @bioniclealien A term meaning an exlamation or a call or a way of saying COME ON YOU SLOW POKES! PICK! UP! THE! PACE!!!

  • If you guys like this song I would recommend listening to the Rite of Spring by Stravinsky at around 2 minutes. Fun stuff ;)

  • @LeShraC2112 I'm sure that Williams was inspired :)

  • @LeShraC2112 And these tracks are side by side. Sand People always ride single file to hide their numbers.

  • (R2) Woooo?

    (Jawa) HOOOYAH! *Shoots Ion Blaster*

    (R2) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOH! *clunk*

  • C3PO: Oh a transport I'm saved HEY OVER HERE HEY HEEEYYY!!!!

  • 2:47- Jawas talking and carrying R2-D2 to Sandcrawler

  • I hope there's a track like this on Tatooine in The Old Republic. =D

  • One of the best tracks of the series

  • i am playing this song it's hard ass ball bro no your Mary had a little lam kinda of crap thats easy to play

  • this is one of my favarouite songs lol also.....UTINI

  • The beginning is a complete from Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring (Introduction of part II, The Sacrifice), a piece which is much better than anything Williams ever did.

  • @Nuker1337 you're wrong. "the track "Dune Sea of Tatooine" drew from the soundtrack from Bicycle Thieves, scored by Alessandro Cicognini.[46]" from wikipedia. and i'm sorry to say, the majority of the world disagrees with your opinion of williams because he's already been established (and noted) as one of the greatest film composers of all time. either that, or you're just trolling.

  • @jediyamato1 I'm not wrong. Listen to the beginning of part II, "The Sacrifice", and then tell me this doesn't sound like this. I don't doubt that he's one of the greatest movie soundtrack composers (many say he't he best), but he's not on the level as the finest composers of the 20th century, let alone of all time.

  • this music is kinda like a scary music wierd theme tone to it you know what i mean but it sure is great though

  • I think John Williams is the only film composer to put a tuba solo in the score lol

  • Someone was in the pod, the tracks went onto this direction.

Look, sir! Droids (R2-D2 and C-3P0 with stolen Death Star I plans)

  • Stormtrooper: Look, a penny!

  • Sand. I hate sand.

  • i will never forget this tune. Williams is amazing.

  • sounds mysterious

  • C-3PO: That malfunctioning little twerp! This is all his fault! He tricked me into going this way, but he'll do no better.

  • @menslady125 What? A transport (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • @menslady125 C-3PO: What's that? Wait! A transport! I'm saved! Over here! Hey! Help! Help! Please, help!

  • @Bammer2001:

     ^_^

  • the silly jawa theme always reminds me of when I was a kid, because I used to watch the hell out of episode 4 growing up. xD

  • Sounds like a desert...

  • @nco62292 Agree, Williams is nothing compared to these great composers of the past.

  • @Nuker1337 dont say thing like this because god wont let you get in heaven

  • @yokojedi Then I have a surprise for you: There is no god!

  • you know this for sure??? oh my god shit everyone, this guy answered one of the big important questions of hundreds of thousands of generations of life!!!!! dude go public with the evidence!!!!! but use the cash to buy bodyguards or some religious nut will murder you... or maybe even the pope, you know they do that to people like you right?? right in between them putting mind control drugs into the tapwater and talking to ET on that weird device he left behind

  • @buggs83uk Hmm, ok. Drop the sarcasm. Anyone slightly educated will realize that it was taken from Le Sacre, but people on the internet are far from being slightly educated these days.

  • I hate to ruin your opinions on this piece, as I am a huge John Williams fan myself, but this cue is IDENTICAL to Stravinsky's opening to the 2nd part of the Rite of Spring...I was gutted when I found out xD JW still writes great music, but this I'm afraid is too close to call his own...

  • Completely overwhelming.

  • It sound so desolated and lonely, there at the dunes of Tatooine. X_X

    Someone fetch me water! D=

  • John Williams is a genius.

  • @FirestormChameleon im not gonna deny that, but i wouldnt be surprised if he borrowed the beginning motif and other ideas from stravinsky's rite of spring.
