there are large differences in movie and novel. Screens are all edited. and for your kind knowledge its a copy of novel not a movie itself. copying a novel is also difficult

i took many years to complete. Even the research took uncounteble number of years.

No obviously not, it's in Hindi but it comes with English subtitles however there is also a version out that has the voices dubbed in English, however a lot of the scenes and such are cut and it's made a lot shorter than it actually is, my advice would be to watch the original Hindi version with the subtitles.

There is an English Dub that was released in UK and Canada. Also for limited time in US. The Film is originally in Hindi but has been made famous thru its English, French, German, Thai, and Chinese dubbed versions

The first time I saw this movie I was shock because of the way Devdas father treated him. I Want to Know something is family traditions more important then our children happlies. Shouldn't we put that first before anything else. Some family traditions are important for our children to learn or know.

It's not based on a true story but it is based on a Bengali novel.

because we have a similar true story happened in middle east call Qaais and Laila .. they loved each other but they didnt meant to be together Laila he parents forced her to marry another man which mad Qaais to go mad! plus he died as Dev in the film.
