  • Where is part 3?

  • you are z0rgz0rg. I'm only unique as we all are. Maybe some are more than others. *shrug*

  • im special, like einstein and warren buffet

  • So, I will stick up for anyone like young Warren any day!

  • The world needs people like us for sure. I have always admired Warren Buffet (and Bill Gates) philanthropy...not just a tax writeoff either at that amount. (30 billion...wow, I almost forgot but I recalled it was a large percentage of his fortune overall too). That means it's closer to a billionaire's mite than a billionaire's drop in the bucket.

  • Warren Buffet, for example, also used to collect bottle-caps, memorize licence plates, etc when he was very young. Since then, he has been able to avoid the trap of heard mentality precisely when it is about to lead the world astray and direct its resources to more efficient uses. One of those uses was donating $30,000,000,000 (yes, that is the right number of zeros) to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which has been estimated to have saved the lives of over 10 million children already.

  • Wherever I see abuse of people because they are nerdy or autistic - I always speak up for them (and with my fists if necessary...)

What most people don't realize is how much those with autistic-like disorders have contributed to the survival and well-being of our species.

  • When I was little I collected acorns. I used to line up books and pair them according

to the colors on the covers. I twirled record covers. I think being autistic helped me

intuitively understand the concept of design

    and therefore art.

    Jen

  • I collected weird rocks. Color, texture, shape, but usually no larger than a thumb tip.

I also tore apart broken machines to see the insides. Sometimes I'd attempt to rebuild them but the things would work only a fraction of the time (which was why I ruined 'em further!)

  • I agree with you about Asperger's being overly misunderstood by the media. People learn weird and immediately assume the worst.

Since Asperger's and Autism is genetic, there's no cure. Mother nature won't let us get out of hand, theres a balance. Maybe it's part of the natural mental evolution. who knows.

  • swanmaeans aspergers and ASD are not fucking fake!!! How can you have a fake disorder?? You've never experienced it so u cant say shit!

  • shouldnt have been a pussy...

  • Aspergers is as fake as ADD. Everyone gets bullied. Post traumatic stress disorder is exactly what it is. Anyone can get it. Also, anyone can be killed for whatever reasons the killer has.

The criteria (or "symptoms") for aspergers are just personality traits. Thats all they are.

The "disorder" is just another box for The Man to put you in. Which is very disgusting.

    Fuck america.

  • swanmaens, you're an idiot. seriously, go waste your time somewhere else. obviously you are not very well educated on this subject otherwise you would not have written such ignorant comments. sincerely, jaymz and kythera

  • I am educated in this subject otherwise I would not have written the below comment.

    Idiot.

  • I've been wondering about that not just aspergers but all labels for these so called disorders. How are these disorders not just personality traits or effects of what a person has gone through like you say. Do you know of some books on this subject?

  • man you are on so many forums, what do you think about va. tech?

  • Mostly I think the families of the victims need a lot of support as they are victims of displaced anger. Warning signs for these kinds of paranoid killers are still not heeded very well and society continues to be unfair and bigotted...a major cause of the problem. The media likes making a new statistic for every story.

  • exactly what i was thinking as well.

  • I love that you have been brave enough to speak out about the experience of having ASD. It helps us all understand a little better, hopefully breeding compassion and acceptance.

  • Thank you for the kind words. I am hoping to make more videos. Currently having some job issues. I understand you have some challenges going on now too so if I can, I'd like to use this response to also say I hope you will find something that will help you overcome and restore your health. For everyone's sake.

  • Cool vids lordalfredhenry, they have provided me with good insights which I may not have had if I hadn't watched them. Thanks for uploading, and remember that what goes on in your mind determines who you are, not the quality of your genetics.

  • Thank you. I've subscribed to your videos too.

  • Heh, I collect can tops too...I wouldn't say that's a necessarily AS trait.

  • Ok. I'd agree it's not exclusive but another one of those things that might have higher incidence amongst those with AS. Maybe not. I probably won't bother looking for a study. It's also not aspie to take vitamins. :P But yah, I meant to show it as a "kind of" aspie thing.

  • In case you are wondering, "sexual relations" means intercourse so Bill never lied to the American public. However, he knew that the vast majority of people would interpret his statement to mean no sexual contact.

Go re-read the CDC's and IOM's statements on thimerosal. What they don't tell is that their sample size was too small so they could easily "not accept" any correlation.

    CDC = Tobacco Companies

  • That's suspect but it doesn't make a correlation true either. Can anyone show me a picture of a vial with thimerosol administered recently? Futher, can anyone show me a picture within one month before and one month after of a child? Is there even any prima facie evidence to start with?

  • The original study did show a clear correlation between thimerosal and a number of developmental disorders, BUT THE SAMPLE SIZE WAS TOO SMALL. Both CDC and IOM issued statements, while technically correct, were intended to mislead the general public into believing that there was no correlation when in fact it was a small sample size.

"I did not have sexual RELATIONS with that women, Ms. Lewinsky"

That was a true statement, but misleading.

  • Helping your child function in society is not "sanitizing" or getting rid of autistics. Where does this come from?

The spectrum is so wide that Asperger's seems hardly comparable to those who are profoundly affected.

  • Straw. I'm not against helping a child function as long as by "helping a child function" you don't mean dangerous alternative procedures, i.e.: chelation, treapanation, exorcism, crystals and stuff.

That's right. The spectrum is currently wide. Take it up with the psychs. Not me.

  • I would agree that there is no reason to subject a child to some quack theory. However, I have read the CDC study on thimerosal and it definitely looks like a whitewash to me.

If you had a child "on the spectrum" that was loaded with mercury and other toxic metals, what would you do? I don't have an answer to that question.

  • Curious. What parts are a white wash to you? I would agree that there is potential conflict of interest. How would you be sure they were loaded with Hg? Could I see a non-alternative-medicine-doctor for the test? Why are kids being chelated that have negative heavy metal test results from regular labs? Where is evidence to support that autistic children aren't eliminating Hg as much as a control?

  • great video. your videos are really a great opportunity to show people everywhere the difficulties in living with autistic symptoms but also how having autistic symptoms does not make you any less part of society than anyone else. i do hope though you understand that when people say 'fight autism' we are reffering to symptoms of the disorder and certainly not people with the disorder. huge difference.

  • Tersemode: Words: semantics game loaded with different aims even if same treatment. Treating symptoms-nicer. Rounding-out traits/challenging/accomodating disabilities moreso. Accomodations &cures can blur but cure=absolute. Traits not giving up: my memory. I can fake normal more but cost=not living easy. My fight over when bullying was. Thanks your subscribing. You care your family. :)
