Not really a advantages and disadvantages video, its more of just the advantages. Now I'm a big supporter of unions regardless, just saying that the video title causes some cognitive dissonance that could irk some people. Unions are the only way that any amount of democracy enters into the business sector, without them, business is just the practice of totalitarian fascism. There are issues with unions, but those aught to be resolved by making unions better not giving owners dictatorship.
@xaoslegend there shouldn't be democracy in the business sector. If there was no one would start a business because there is no incentive when you know that the people you hire at any moment could decide they want just as much of the prophet as you're getting from the business.
@zanariot because you assume a business community would decide not to reward the most skilled hardest working member of the group with extra reward and would allow lazy workers to get the same pay as hard workers? If the same people voted in businesses that I see harping on the lazy all the time I dont think that would pan out. The only way the "democracy will exploit the smartest hardest working" model works is if you assume the majority of people are without morality or common sense.
