  • damn I wasn't even born yet!

  • Fuck all you arguing cunts, this video is fuckin sick! Dimebag rules

  • @Giveantake

dude, he talked shit about nu metal, which was emerging at the time. he was hating on grunge, nu, fake metal bands that were fronting something there not. they loved glam . glam is awesome, shit today just screams about how there in love with some girl over and over again when really they dont know what love is. not arguing with you, so whatever you send back is just gonna be deleted. i dont care what the youtube community thinks fuck em

  • Terry as the lead vocalist

  • @Giveantake WHAT!?! so you use Agnostic Front as an example? You're an idiot!! Listen to their earlier records then listen to their Epitaph Records bullshit like Gotta Go etc... Your example sucks

  • @Giveantake

He was an asshole back then....not even me deny that fact.

  • killer

  • REX DRUGS AND ROCK N ROLL!!!

  • Man...I bet Phil Anselmo is embarrased at his early moves...flickin his mullet an shit! Now he looks all bad ass and sounds like the cookie monster as opposed to Geoff Tate

  • @YARBLES1969 He said himself that he sucked but hey everyone has to start somewhere. The important thing is getting up there and doing it

  • @1978deus I guess...

  • Man wish this was on CD in higher quality love how they performed "Mob Rules" great song from Black Sabbath/Heaven & Hell

You have to be a fool to dislike

  • fuck.... that solo might not have been of Iommi but FUCK it sounds DAMN fucking good!

not only does it give the song THAT much more edge as the original solo, it even has that Dimebag touch to it.

    AWESOME!

  • how can 4 people change in 3 years and make cowboys from hell?amazing

  • @JuStFuck1ngLivE Dime was hanging out and jamming with James Hetfield and Kerry King at times. Totally changed his rythme playing style. Thank Metallica and Slayer for CFH!

  • I think I was at this show! Really, I grew up in Arlington and saw them play in Ft Worth, Arlington, Pantego, Dallas, etc. This looks like Joe's Garage in Ft Worth, maybe...or Savvy's.

  • @griffinxmusic I was there too! Swimming in my dads nutsack! :P

  • damn dude. dime destroyed Mob Rules!

  • Anybody who thinks this isnt dime, your fucking high, this is pantera after they kicked out terry lee.

  • @noexistence11

    Thank you sir!

  • Your a fuckin stupid pussy!!!!!! do some research stupid u peon Thats 4 sure pantera

  • Thats Dime and this is Pantera D bag.

    RIP

  • This is Phil Anselmo, but is not Pantera. This was a local New Orleans band called "Razor White". It was primarily a cover band, but defintely is Phil Anselmo. I saw them a handful of times.

  • @dmsunseri1

Dude....if you will tell me THIS is not Dime....or Dime was in Razor White as well...I will come over and KICK YOUR WHITE ASS MAN. That was the most FUCKED up STUPIDEST comment EVER.

  • @AnselmoFanZero Are you serious? Blind?

  • @joeysixtysix

    Wtf?

  • @dmsunseri1 dude are you leaving this comment to be annoying or are you just a dummy who doesnt know anything, or both. THIS is Pantera, not Razor White...

  • @dmsunseri1 You are the stupidest fucking poser ever.

  • @dmsunseri1 yeah, you stupiddddd

  • @dmsunseri1 No. This is definitely Pantera. That's obviously Dime on guitar and Rex on bass. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you don't know what Pantera looked like in the 80's.

  • @dmsunseri1 You're full of shit. You can tell without a doubt that's Dime. Listen to that fucking solo!

  • yeah this is after razor white... phil joined pantera about this time.. and left that shitty band razor white...and yes thats dimebag... and you can tell thats vinnie jammin the fuck out of his drums and "sexy" rexy(rex brown) on the bass PANFUCKINTERA!!!

  • @dmsunseri1 you better not call yourself a pantera fan

  • i think this at joes garrage, camp bowie fort worth texas thats were they always used too play :)

  • must BE WAY EARLY days, still who ever it is is SHREADING those sabbath riffs UP!...the world misses you Dbag, our music scene will never be the same with out YOU and Vinnie!(F@ck Phil!)

  • @vwcadets

Another dude who is thinking Phil is the bad guy in this movie right?

Dime and Vinnie, as much as I love those guys, didnt have the nuts to tell Phil its enough. Doing heroin hittin bottom.....they just watched. Great friends....thumbs up.

  • @AnselmoFanZero Actually Dime wrote Phil a letter saying he is done with Pantera and done having Phil as a friend

  • @almostaskater133

    Where is that from?

  • @AnselmoFanZero

yeah phils not a bad guy

  • @vwcadets - I remember seeing Pantera at the Airman's club in Sheppard AFB (Wichita Falls) in 84, I agree - Dime was an absolute god even back then - I think he ("Diamond Darrel) was 18 , we saw them doing this & all the other (pre glam) metal covers - like crazy train, he was nailing every note that Randy Rhoads put in the song & adding a few of his own back then - RIP

  • GIVE ME THIS BOOTLEG!!!!!!!

  • WHERE CAN I GET THIS?

  • @thrashcunt1

Actually I promised to the lady who filmed this, not to upload any more pre80ies stuff.

  • @AnselmoFanZero argh

  • @AnselmoFanZero WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Sabs cover, Phil sounds like a great mix of Halford and early Geoff Tate here. They REALLY need to re-issue Power Metal IMO.

  • @fuzzleredmenn

Naaaah...Phil should redo Walk...THAT would be cool as hell. To show all the SO CALLED fans that he still got it.

  • @AnselmoFanZero I dont think he needs to prove himself to those morons, those of us who have respect for him and knowledge of ALL his work know exactly what he is able to do! Those so called fans were critical of him as far back as the Reinventing The Steel tour, but he still destroyed, just like he did on every other Pantera tour. He has more than proved himself IMO. I just want a decent copy of Power Metal! I think its a cracking 80's album, and better than a lot of modern metal!

  • @fuzzleredmenn

First song Ive ever heard was Proud To Be Loud! So I can proudly say I love this album. First CD with Phil...different style, but still awesome.

What I meant was: I (me) would like to hear Walk or Domination again. Cause to be honest: The past few years he wasnt able to do it. Mainly because of medication...

  • @AnselmoFanZero True, I doubt he would feel comfortable playing them with anyone now though, but it would be great, although I doubt anything can top seeing & hearing Pantera do them! He is on top form now though, since his back surgery etc, so he could handle pretty much anything I reckon! First Pantera album I heard was Power Metal, my friends older brother had it on import, he thought it was too heavy (he was strictly a glam fan) but we loved it! CFH is still tops for me though!

  • @fuzzleredmenn

WOnt be the same feeling as back in the days FOR HIM...but most Down-fans (most!) never saw Pantera live...like me f.e. So this would be like.......I dont know....like seeing Pantera live. Even without Dime and Vin.

  • @AnselmoFanZero Never thought of it that way, seeing as I was one of the lucky ones who has seen Pantera and Down. Which should satisfy me, but I'm greedy and I wish I'd seen Superjoint Ritual too! I wish Phil and Vin would bury the hatchet, I mean, to go through all that together, and to achieve what they achieved is pretty amazing, it sucks that they cant hang. Oh well, we'll always have the metal!

  • @fuzzleredmenn

Would give my right arm to see Phil live in 1992. Time to invent the time-machine...

Guess Vin wont forgive him...as most as the "fans". In my opinion they failed as much as his friends as he did, not telling him to quiet the fucking heroin.

  • @AnselmoFanZero i'd give my right arm to see phil in pantera in 1989 and 1990.

  • Classic Pantera

  • how did you get that video?

  • ...same way I got all other 109 DVDs ;-)

  • its totally phil. terry glaze was there previous singer. and then phil sang there last hair metal album "power metal"

    before making the great cfh.

    rip dime

  • They had a singer before phil this is him .I remember all the local rags in texas with the glam look pictures advertising their concerts IN THE LATE 80S

  • Only Phil sounds like Phil! No other Pantera-singer would have made it that far. Most people dont even know their names anymore.

  • @txbnkr this is phil.. the guy before phil was terry glaze .. but young phil sang higher pitched than he did till cowboys and vulgar.. even on cowboys theres a couple songs where he sings like this

  • fuck me! thats phil? never heard his vox of this era. he must have an incredibly versatile voice. im a fan of both :D cheers for the upload!

  • pantera were better in the 80's than the 90's in my opinion

  • nice....but nobody can sing it like dio. NOBODY.

  • @ijemekkos4life

    dio is a dogs anus

  • yeah right....COME AGAIN.....you just made my day with that comment.

  • @ijemekkos4life

phil makes piss, ronny james dio couldnt sing his way out of a cheap whores position on highway 18.

  • dimebag is godly in this

  • Phil could really sing back then. Too bad he shot his voice to hell over the years with the booze and smoking. You hear the Neanderthal grunting he does today that he tries to pass off as singing, and it sounds like a totally different person.

  • Dude....check out the Download Festival videos from 2009! Stone the crow...best version ever!

  • Thats what happens when you get older, you'll see if you if you make it to an older age....

  • thats not everybodys opinion dude.

  • @6672rock The singing he did after this, although very different, took as much talent as doing this style. Phil's one of the most versatile metal singers in the history of the genre.

  • @6672rock That's not Phil its Terry Glaze

  • even the in the 80's thats undeniably phil and undeniably dimes groove metal style riffs!

  • Comment removed

  • That doesn't sound or look like Phil.

  • I am sure it is Phil...and it DOES sound like the young Phil cause it IS the young Phil. Trust me...

  • he moves like phil lol

  • yeah dude...its tough to believe...but this IS Phil for sure...just younger and all 80s metal which i think is awesome

  • @bohemenman are you for real? Did you ever listen to Power Metal?

  • lol man phils hair !!!!! omfg thats to cool

  • Sorry for my mistake...Second time that i hear him, overall in the final part...he's Anselmo.

Certain he joined the band in '87 and not '88

  • Nobody is perfect...

  • Phil join the band in '88...it's impossible!wasn't he.

    this was David Peacock, maybe

  • Dude...if you dont hear the Phil in this video...dont call yourself a PanteraFan ever again. Seriously man...

  • cool video...dont worry no hate will be coming from me...

  • Why should I expect any hate coming from you?

  • an awesome video like this is guaranteed to have ignorant anti pantera fans bashing them calling them posers and what not...i absolutely love early band footage

  • Lol blkvids must be totally retarded.

  • Indeed

  • hahaha phil lovely super sized blond locks of hair!

    god damn!

too bad 87 was the year i was born.

i feel ive missed so much!

  • Now you got it on utube...I was born 1983. A few years ago it was hard to get this stuff I can tell ya that. Took 6 years to collect the 110 Pantera DVDs I call my own.

  • damn, man.

well thank you for sharin :]!!!!

  • Your welcome

  • glam bands dont cover sabbath asshole even if it was with dio

  • Guess you need glasses or something...Pantera is not a glam band. Phil changed that.

  • bullshit phils a fag dude the entire band hated him he wasnt even invited to dimes funeral and this video does him no justice

  • Nobody would know Pantera or the ONE fuckin name of ANY member without Phil. Maybe he used to be a dick sometimes, but they knew it. That was never a problem...

  • thats true but it doesnt change the fact that they were still a glam band when phil joined

  • Dude...you know Slayer right? The had make up in their faces 1983 and the music was WAY DIFFERENT...guess you were born as cool as you are today right? Cmon

  • actually slayer started thrash and pantera isnt even slash you waste of sperm

  • Just like when your father jerked on that pile of shit and flies: You got way too much time asshole

  • Thats the real Phil

  • what was up with phil jumpin off the stage? like even back in the day he had a hard time with dimeshine

  • The what???

  • i cant imagine what vinnie looked like

  • ah, pantera when they were a gayass glam metal band

  • Nah dude, they may have dressed glam like, but to me they sounded more like Judas Priest then anything

  • still, some stuff was glam, but glam is amazing, and super awsome, and super sexy, so, thats not even an insult really, i guess ya they were mostly Hair metal sounding, still both are sexy and awsome.

  • The song just rocks man. Thats why...

  • Hahaha Phil using a Whammy pedal on his voice......that's a good one, but far from true.

A- The first Whammy wasn't released until 91'.

B- If you've ever put a mic through a Whammy pedal, you'd know it's a completely un-natural and un-usable effect for the voice.

That's just Phil's falsetto....doing the Rob Halford thang.

  • Comment removed

  • and adding a shit ton of delay on it

  • @DrewciferFSA yeaa

  • dimebag is 4ever..............

  • aguante pantera, from argentina dimebag rules,

  • Take that stupid fucking delay off his shit.

  • Wtf are you talking about?

  • well, it was the 80s. what did you expect?

    dry signals, decent mikes?

it sounds horrible, true. back then the rumour went that phil might be using a digitech whammy pedal for his voice aswell. of course the band heavily denied cette accusations.

    i don't care, i effing love pantera!

  • Who's the dumbass that said this isn't Phil?

  • Must be a REAL fan...I guess.

  • at the end you just hear it's phil =)

  • hehe... they were SO... young !

  • DUDE KICK ASS!

  • This really rules! Pantera Is GOOOOOOOOODDAMN ELECTRIC MAAAN. PHIL, DIMEBAG, REX AND VINNIE ARE FUCKIN GODS!

  • Love the mullet flick @ 0:17

  • didn't phil join pantera in 1988?

  • He played some gigs in 1987...not many though

  • omg thats phil??ahhh yeahhh mabuhayyyyyyyyy

  • Man thats Phill!!

listen the shit he says after song!

    fuckin great!

  • Thank god...a true Pantera-fan. \m/

Of course its Phil...you can hear it clearly. Glaze never had a comparable voice.

  • xD dude you are so damn stupid. Guess your mom dropped you when you just came out of her stinkin guts.

Its Phil...defenetaly. Glaze has no voice. Compared to Phil he sounds like a cold lil girl.

  • HAHAHA!!! I actually like the Terry Glaze stuff, but you are right!

"Power Metal" is the best Pantera album EVER!!!

  • bro i hate to break it to yah even though others have proably told you the same thats phil listen to the art of shredding in his younger days he use to sing priest all the time. thats phil no doubt

  • NO he didn't sing Priest like all the time, most of the time he couldn't hit the notes, he was only good for a few times, then he'd lose it

  • acully u know shit all and he was in a priest cover band called razor white and poeple say he sung it better then rob himslef

  • Of course he was in a cover band....I know more than you think there home slice...

    :o)

    Carry on

  • PHIL ANSELMO sung on the power metal album and this is him singing here. do you're research you dumb prick

  • If that's glam metal, then I'm superman.

That's Phil for sure. He had a great vocal range up to the mid-90's.

  • phil wven is glam...never seen this vid...pretty nice tho.

i rlly like the old stuff like in 1990

  • phils voice is awesome

  • yes I agree.... however not everyone opts to start as a terrible hair metal band. ESPECIALLY when they have the potential to write albums like Far Beyond Driven. Unfortunately for us though, Phil decided to be a weiny prick and prance around like brett michaels for the first couple of years. Can't win them all i guess.

  • I BELIEVE you don't know that even the mighty Slayer started singing with smokey eyes and tons of make up!? xD

    Got a vid from 1983 or so...the proof...spooooky.

  • oh shut the hell up, everybody has to start somewhere...

  • Shut the fuck up.

  • This has been in the underground video traders for quite a while. I have another song from this show on VHS. The camera man, goes right on stage and you Phil very clearly. But yea, this is CHEEEESE CITY. You need to find a Razor White video with Phil!

  • Yep...its a rare one.

Actually I never saw any taped RazorWhite material.

  • can't believe it, priceless video

  • GRRR THE CAMERA IS SOOO OUT OF FOCUS!! (in parts- the zooming mainly)

  • Maybe the quality is that bad because it was filmed in 1987.

Don't know if I got a first gen copy or not.

  • im embarrassed to even watch this!funny!

  • ahahahahh awesome and hilarious at the same time ahahahahahahahah Phil looks so gay ahahahaha

  • Kind of xD

But hes still kinda cool ;-)

  • I think it was 1991 I saw a setlist for some show that had walk and this love on it.

  • Will check that. I got some gigs from 1991.

  • Cool do you know if they played any vdop songs live before it was released? I heard they did but Im not sure.

  • Yep they did. But not on this show!

  • That was awesome are you gonna post anymore?

  • I would...but the show from 1987 where I took this song from is mixed and incomplete.

Will upload some stuff from 1992 today!
