@MichaelGaard ...Thanks.The guitar is as described in the title - a 1962 Les Paul Junior. The scratchplate is an SG Jnr one.Maybe that is what confused you.
@MichaelGaard In 1954 the Les Paul Jnr was first released, and in 1961 Gibson changed it’s body shape to what we know as the SG shape. The name “SG” didn’t come until much later so this is correctly titled “Les Paul Jnr” as in 1962 that's what it was called. Interestingly all the original SG shaped guitars where marketed by Gibson as “Les Pauls” for quite a long time before the “SG” name was adopted. So Fendermac is 100% correct.
surely there is a plastic guitar somewhere in your collection, make a demo & we'll see :)) lol please delete any silliness as you wish, my dear friend
@RensStella ...How right you are.Lol.Vid coming separately...and I wouldn't dream of ever deleting comments, apart from mindless abuse from people I don't know and don't want to
sweet jam my man! there for a second i thought you were going to play a bit of "dreamers ball" what pick do you use if i may ask? rock on my brother!
@renocalifornia ....instead of 'heavy' I should have said stiff really. The Claytons are Delrin or Ultem teardrops 0.8mm thick. The Fenders are unmarked but might be the same or maybe 1mm
Hey Fendermac, have just found you, you have one hell of a guitar collection and play some real nice blues. I am from the same era as you and also jam to blues tracks. Have you tried the jam tracks by Ralph Agresta on cd. Also, have you been in a band I might have seen here in the UK. Love your playing...
Thanks for your reply Fendermac, no I haven't seen the bands mentioned. Playing live can be a buzz but I don't miss those late nights and work the next day thats for sure. I will enjoy your postings, thanks for the entertainment. That SG Jnr sounds gorgeous by the way, good luck...

@fendermac Wake up man :-) What you have there is a SG Junior. You do know the difference between a Les Paul and SG right???
Yes before the Les Paul came out, the SG was called Les Paul, but what you're playing is a SG JUNIOR.
Nothing confused me at all :-)
Try google "SG Junior" and try google "Les Paul Junior" and see what comes out :-)
