Things get a little more frantic when the S2k driver is in full attack mode, and it's a little less smooth. It took him maybe three laps to figure out a better line through the right-left-left where he could stay on half-throttle throughout the series of turns. That eventually set him up for the pass.
@15inchwheels do you even know if the old 911 was stock? probably not, so i wouldn't be talking about the S2000 driver like that when you have know idea what's been done to the 911 such as the suspension, interior, tire set up, as well as the power plant.
as much fun as the s2000 looks, id take a 911 any day. its more of a changing car to drive there for making it more of a rewarding experience if done right
@flagella1337 for you info mate i have driven both at Oulton Park. Im just giving my opinion that's all. The s2000 is a great car but personally for driver pleasure the 911 is the car for me
im a true honda head, but its hard to argue with the straight line power of a porsche, that said the hondas cornering ability is pretty decent, but i think thats mostly down to the driver. good dice all the same, and just goes to show power is not everything.
@saksaas Because the F20 is a great base to Turbo/Supercharge so people tend to make them go quick in straight lines. Also the S2K is prone to snap oversteer when driven quickly on a track so an inexperienced driver could crash etc. Much more fun on a track tho IMO.
What makes this car well balanced is the fact that it has a front/mid engine. If you put av v8 in this car you would have to place the engine further to the front. That would ruin the balance of the car.
@saksaas on the contrary, you can get an all aluminum LS1 to be close to stock weight (close, not at) they aren't as big as you would think. If you open the hood of an S just look at all the room in there.. sure the balance would not be PERFECT like it is now, but it could be done properly and still be plenty trackable.
I love the Sound of the NA motor! I believe he has retuned the ECU and matched an IHE with the combo, My S2000 does not sound THAT nice at WOT! sick video! All I need is a good ECU to make mine sound as nice, this is the Engine ROAR that Honda should have had on this S2000.
There are many different reasons for doing that, but i think in this case scenario he was doing it so he would't have to use the brakes as much. Downshifting like that will slow the car down so he didn't have to use the brakes as much.
@futangklan skipping shifts is very bad and stresses your transmission just to let you know. It's like dragging 1 -> 3 -> 4 -> 6 .... the gears are meant to be synchrounous , not meant that you skip one.

@TheArfdog If you want more power from an S2K the Fseries responds very well to turbos. A v8 is unecessary in this car as a properly tuned (stock block/head) Fseries can handle way over 500RWHP with a low compression head gasket and stronger rear diff.
@blkguynlex I guess that's nice if 500 whp is all you're going for. But ok let's take 500 whp. How much do you think is the cost premium of trying to get a highly-tuned 2.4 L engine to put out that much power (and a flat torque curve) compared to an 6.0 L V8? You don't have to properly tune shit in an LSx and it will put out almost 500 whp already.
@blkguynlex Furthermore, after all the turbos and intercoolers, the whole assembly ends up weighing almost as much as an NA LSx. Not to mention the time and cost. So there is zero advantage in using the F-motor unless it's highly, highly tuned.... as in turning 18,000 rpm, thus generating 480 hp. Now that might be worth the cost.
@TheArfdog ummmm lookup s2000 from hell. Stock F20 motor, tranny and rear end. 700 whp. "F20 is hopeless".....yea right, you have no idea what ure talking about.
@TheArfdog, you mention " time and cost". ..are you saying it's cheaper to install the V8 into the S2000 rather than boosting/tuning the factory F series? You may want to do some research as the F Series is a pretty stout piece. I know you're being sarcastic but 18,000 rpm....really? It's designed to rev as it's not a stump puller and thats what makes these engines so fun and entertaining. Give me a GT35R turbo, Hondata, all the assocated parts and some fine tuning and beware.
@blkguynlex I have and that's why I'm coming here with this. To build an F20 capable of 500 hp, the motor needs to be much stronger than a V8. And if you're going to put a turbo on as well, might as well just do all that work to an LSx and get thrice the power of the F-motor.
To convert an S2000 to a V8 might be pushing it, i'm just saying it shoulda come with a V8 in the first place.
@mmdaniels33 In what world is 2800 lbs "tiny"? Especially when the weight difference is 100 lbs. That's 4%. Your car full of gas weighs 4% more. You know what speaks louder than 120 hp/L? 7 liters. LOL.
@TheArfdog Hmm.. it has perfect 50/50 weight balance... Please tell me what would happen if you crammed a big v8 in it? I know that little brain will figure it out.
@mmdaniels33 Jesus. Let me spell it out for you. S2000 is 49%/51% F/R. That's 1372 in the front, 1428 in the back. LS7 is 100 pounds heavier than the F22, adds 100 pounds to the front. Now it's 1472/1428 F/R = 51%/49% F/R. You can't feel a 2% change in weight distribution. I mean you just make yourself look stupid.
@TheArfdog Okay now factor in it being an inline engine? Do you know why inline engines are better ? Do you realize off setting this car to 51% in the front without it being an inline engine, would fuck this car up so much? Your an idiot.. Bashing the s2000 and its f20c engine. You clearly know dick all about cars.. How much would this thing understeer and handle like ass with a big V8 upfront.. all power going to the back. It would be so off balance.
He seems to have him only in the turns and braking which could just mean the Porsche driver isn't the best driver or the S2000 excels in the those two areas.
s2000 one of the best track cars out there if you know how to drive it well. porsche drivers not very good. s2000 driver drives very well and the fun factor of s2000 is way up there.
You can say wathever you want.. BUT if I was that porscho owner, I wouldn't be to happy if a S2000 kept up with me on the track.. LOL. $25000 S2000 VS $125000 Porsche........ Need I say more..
you can't compare those two cars...and GT-R is better but way??..you know why...only because it AWD...not RWD like NSX...top speed is the 15km/h faster than NSX...so not much better...and NSX is 13 years old almost...i think on 2nd gen.
Let me reiterate....S2K is shit compared to any Porsche. I've driven an S2K = Shit2K. Drives like a shopping cart, & starts off shitty. I believe a shopping cart is more comfortable.
s2k is good car 50-50 weight but you can't drive this car against Porsche...it's slower and it's not turbocharged. Drive Supra vs. Porsche and see what will happened...100m behind will be Porsche...in 402m race..buahahahaah
Supra vs Porsche? hahahahaha you'd have to run that supra on rocket fuel & mod it the fuck out...that's the only way you'd keep up with a fast Porsche. Get out of here, Porsche kicks ass.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Your mom has a cock??? LMAO, hahahhahaha. So I guess your parents take turns taking it in the ass? Can you film that, & post it on youporn? Plz, thanks. You know, you should make a TV show: "Life with my 2 Cocks" it'll be a hit.
If you know anything about racing, you can clearly see the Porsche drivers in this video are TERRIBLE drivers...way off line, inconsistent braking, etc....i.e. they are slow. S2000 is a very nice car, but having driven both on the track, if you can't beat an S2000 in a Porsche 911, it's time to quit racing...
The drivers of both 911's should be utterly ashamed of themselves for driving so poorly and letting an S2000 beat up on them so badly...watch their racing lines and it may as well be Helen Keller behind the wheel of those Porsches...
Watch the video again , all the porches maintain about the same gap between themselves , are all the porche drivers bad,, i doubt it . The S2000 is a magnificent car for less than 1/2 the price.
your right ^^, and also socalllucifier another reason is the s200 is slightly better through the corners, and you can hear him backing off throught some because the porsche is in the way. on a less tight track, the porsches on the straight would gain an advantage, but because this is so twisty, it gives the s2000 an advantage
Put the 964 driver in the GT3 and you would only see him for a short while in the start of the video till he pulled away from the other two. Honda well set up. GT3 driver is not very experienced. Breaks to early for most every corner and not sure if he's in correct gear exiting. It's an expensive car I know so maybe he's just holding back or has more money than skill. Nice with no stupid music playing like a lot of vids on here.
Much more impressed with the Porsche 911 ¿964? in front of the GT3, it carries a lot of speed being an old car... even following not good lines. And it is not a Turbo... good respect for it :O
ten gościu jeździ jak by mu na oponach i hamulcach zależało.....Ale to jest wyścig, co nie? he Gt3 mógłby na zakręcie zwiąć... jeździ zbyt zachowawczo
well this honda looks like modifyed a bit, and if u put a better driver into that gt3, like the 1 who drives the s2000, it would be fair, so dont put to much on the honda
I dont think its fair to say that porsches are better than hondas, but in this video the driver in the honda is seriously good and the driver in the porsche drives like hes 85
your a dumbass, why bring Germany into this? i promise you that s2000 doesnt have the same engine, trans, brakes, intake, anything stock on that car, you a fucking moron! yeah, a stock s200o beating the 911, your a dumbass
are you shitting me?? your throwing what you THINK is in the fucking car, shut the fuuuuck up you dumbshit... s2000's are SHIT and will alwayse be SHIT compared to any GERMAN SUPERCAR you DUMBSHIT... how are you gona tell me what they changed on the car, you fucking dope! hahahahahaha your so smart you tell me what you THINK they did to it! hahaha stuped fucker!
and if you know anything about racing, which you have shown me you dont know anything, look at the lines they are taking... obviously the porsche driver is taking the wrong line, and the honda is taking the better one... if you dont see this, honestly, stop posting
If a Nissan can lap the Nurburgring faster than a Porsche, and a Honda can only "keep up" with the Porsche, then would it be reasonable to say that Nissan>Honda>Porsche?
Personally, I'd say Porsche makes more desirable cars from an overall performance perspective. I don't see how anyone can argue that statement when you compare Porsche to Honda (or Nissan).
umm, one S2k makes over 600whp with stock block on race gas and suddenly all of them can and reliably? thats a bit presumtious dont cha think? safely, 400whp on a stock block, anything above that at least 3mm HG.
not only is he skilled but im sure he's got some mods on it and its tuned, not saying its FI cause i dont think it is, but suspension mods and N/A mods like exhaust intake headers maybe an emanage, thats what i have and it puts me an extra 40 hp to the wheels :D:D
dont say the s2k driver is shitty, hes taking close to perfect lines and using advanced techniques like heel toe shifting, which is why he revs while slowing down.. not easy to do correctly
based-upon engine specs and real-life testimony; S2000 engineering may rival that of companies like Porsche ... especially when you consider the cost of purchase and ownership. Germany is no longer standing alone.
Wow amazing funny how Honda made 7X the profit (3.5B euro / 0.50 B euro) last year than Ferrari and yet some Retards still think honda make shit cars, one day you will understand honda only make cars like this because they are cheap reliable and fast... SHAME!
You're an idiot. Of course Honda makes more money than Ferrari, they're a far bigger manufacturer. Just because Ferrari makes expensive cars doesn't mean it has huge profits. Honda makes cars more people can afford... quantity of sales is were money is made.
Great driving. After a few laps, you drove even better. But you could've made more use of the mid range torque out of corners. Unless you had a stonking great turbo, but I couldn't hear one ...

You clearly know dick all about cars.. How much would this thing understeer and handle like ass with a big V8 upfront.. all power going to the back. It would be so off balance.

Amen to that. Arfdog is a fucking moron.

He seems to have him only in the turns and braking which could just mean the Porsche driver isn't the best driver or the S2000 excels in the those two areas.
wolf1010 2 years ago 2
It could also point to better tires and lighter weight.
noahdusty 2 years ago
s2000 one of the best track cars out there if you know how to drive it well. porsche drivers not very good. s2000 driver drives very well and the fun factor of s2000 is way up there.
arymonem 2 years ago 28
I will have to totally agree on your point of the S2000s being a very fun car to drive.... all the time you are constantly smiling :D

Very good driver! Amazing S2000
victOrzgz19 2 years ago 3
What if this track's straight got shorten?...let's say 1 to 1.5KM?
I think those Porsche;'s driver will really have trouble to leave the S2K's camera...
Really interest to know the background of the S2K driver and what had modified in the S2K

ventomk3 2 years ago
You can say wathever you want.. BUT if I was that porscho owner, I wouldn't be to happy if a S2000 kept up with me on the track.. LOL. $25000 S2000 VS $125000 Porsche........ Need I say more..

I'd also know that the Gay2000 was running on rocket fuel & with plenty of mods. Now go suck on your mom's penis.
jayr545 3 years ago
GT-R is better than NSX-R
jayr545 3 years ago
you can't compare those two cars...and GT-R is better but way??..you know why...only because it AWD...not RWD like NSX...top speed is the 15km/h faster than NSX...so not much better...and NSX is 13 years old almost...i think on 2nd gen.
theriontom 3 years ago
NSX-R is better than 911. s2k is very good car but not against porsche.
theriontom 3 years ago
NSX-R is shit compared to 911.
jayr545 3 years ago
Yeah, sure...911 is turbocharged...NSX-R not.
theriontom 3 years ago
Let me reiterate....S2K is shit compared to any Porsche. I've driven an S2K = Shit2K. Drives like a shopping cart, & starts off shitty. I believe a shopping cart is more comfortable.
jayr545 3 years ago
& NSX-R is good, but not as good as Porsche. Porsche is KING. Go test drive a GT2 & you'll find that out quickly.
jayr545 3 years ago
s2k is good car 50-50 weight but you can't drive this car against Porsche...it's slower and it's not turbocharged. Drive Supra vs. Porsche and see what will happened...100m behind will be Porsche...in 402m race..buahahahaah
theriontom 3 years ago
Supra vs Porsche? hahahahaha you'd have to run that supra on rocket fuel & mod it the fuck out...that's the only way you'd keep up with a fast Porsche. Get out of here, Porsche kicks ass.
jayr545 3 years ago
You are an idiot and probably can't afford either car, let alone drive either properly.

U R an idiot for making silly assumptions. I drove your mom last night & her steering was a little off.
jayr545 3 years ago
You wouldn't know how to drive my mom if you can't even drive an S2000. If she has a cock, and you rode it, what does that make you?
SeventhCity 3 years ago

Your mom has a cock??? LMAO, hahahhahaha. So I guess your parents take turns taking it in the ass? Can you film that, & post it on youporn? Plz, thanks. You know, you should make a TV show: "Life with my 2 Cocks" it'll be a hit.
jayr545 3 years ago
If you know anything about racing, you can clearly see the Porsche drivers in this video are TERRIBLE drivers...way off line, inconsistent braking, etc....i.e. they are slow. S2000 is a very nice car, but having driven both on the track, if you can't beat an S2000 in a Porsche 911, it's time to quit racing...
SoCalLucifer 3 years ago
The drivers of both 911's should be utterly ashamed of themselves for driving so poorly and letting an S2000 beat up on them so badly...watch their racing lines and it may as well be Helen Keller behind the wheel of those Porsches...
SoCalLucifer 3 years ago
Watch the video again , all the porches maintain about the same gap between themselves , are all the porche drivers bad,, i doubt it . The S2000 is a magnificent car for less than 1/2 the price.
kasdri 3 years ago
your right ^^, and also socalllucifier another reason is the s200 is slightly better through the corners, and you can hear him backing off throught some because the porsche is in the way. on a less tight track, the porsches on the straight would gain an advantage, but because this is so twisty, it gives the s2000 an advantage
0l0Dom0l0 3 years ago
Unbelievable sounding for that engine ............. really gonna miss you S2000.

Nice with no stupid music playing like a lot of vids on here.
dmhnc07 3 years ago
Nice sound! Good driver!
Traceracer972 3 years ago
Much more impressed with the Porsche 911 ¿964? in front of the GT3, it carries a lot of speed being an old car... even following not good lines. And it is not a Turbo... good respect for it :O

well this honda looks like modifyed a bit, and if u put a better driver into that gt3, like the 1 who drives the s2000, it would be fair, so dont put to much on the honda
jelzin1985 3 years ago
hondas are impressive and can accomplish whatever the builder desires.
MarioLoco03 3 years ago 2
any car can do that.. not to say I haven't seen cool hondas.
yourtheace 3 years ago
yeah...but hondas are moderatly priced, and joe can buy it and fix them up to put out some insane power.

the porsche was horrible at the cornering..
s2k caught up too it every single time.
CSFREAK21 3 years ago
True that.. he did pretty well.
The porsche didn't do too well.
blackdakkon 3 years ago
He's much better at cornering and at the braking.
Good job man!

JGod101 3 years ago
actually its a bolt on s2k with 4.77 gears.
engine-stock s2k f20c can handle over 600whp due to its fully forged internals. no need to change anything on an all motor s2000. period.
Trans- your just an idiot. please dont post if you know nothing about the car. Trans are generally the strongest part of the drivetrain on s2000s
brakes- yes it would be smart to upgrade the brakes.
intake- woooo 1hp
Your a moron. It has 4.77 final drive. thats it. LOL and maybe I/E
FastisFast 3 years ago
are you shitting me?? your throwing what you THINK is in the fucking car, shut the fuuuuck up you dumbshit... s2000's are SHIT and will alwayse be SHIT compared to any GERMAN SUPERCAR you DUMBSHIT... how are you gona tell me what they changed on the car, you fucking dope! hahahahahaha your so smart you tell me what you THINK they did to it! hahaha stuped fucker!
JGod101 3 years ago
and if you know anything about racing, which you have shown me you dont know anything, look at the lines they are taking... obviously the porsche driver is taking the wrong line, and the honda is taking the better one... if you dont see this, honestly, stop posting
JGod101 3 years ago
lol @ you. are you 16? posting because your dad drives a POS porsche. LOL they suck! face it. Honda>Porsche. video shows it ;)
FastisFast 3 years ago
ya got me, thats why im saying it, yep. you know im right so you resort to that bs hahaha nice nice... honda sucks
JGod101 3 years ago
keepin up with a porsche lol. so whats that say?
FastisFast 3 years ago
If a Nissan can lap the Nurburgring faster than a Porsche, and a Honda can only "keep up" with the Porsche, then would it be reasonable to say that Nissan>Honda>Porsche?
Personally, I'd say Porsche makes more desirable cars from an overall performance perspective. I don't see how anyone can argue that statement when you compare Porsche to Honda (or Nissan).
polvoronn 3 years ago
umm, one S2k makes over 600whp with stock block on race gas and suddenly all of them can and reliably? thats a bit presumtious dont cha think? safely, 400whp on a stock block, anything above that at least 3mm HG.
camuman 3 years ago
And still and still...
engine (?), trans (?), brakes, intake (stupid!)
After all those changes.... That fabulous S2000 still costs less than a thirt of that german VOLKSWAGEN.... lol
misnoegde 3 years ago
That GT3 driver doesn't know anything about driving in a circuit...
He only knows how to push the Throttle pedal...
indurain22 3 years ago
not only is he skilled but im sure he's got some mods on it and its tuned, not saying its FI cause i dont think it is, but suspension mods and N/A mods like exhaust intake headers maybe an emanage, thats what i have and it puts me an extra 40 hp to the wheels :D:D
Dynastyfour 3 years ago
Just goes to show that just because you can afford an exotic
doesn't mean you can drive it. The S2000 driver is extremely skilled.
XiaMengShi 3 years ago 4
I agree totally, this guy is skilled at driving.

really respect for the s2000 driver with just only 240 bhp he past away a 380+ bhp gt3 porsche.great control
nabilnejjar 3 years ago
yeah, but i doubt that s2000 is stock.
JsS2K 3 years ago
dont say the s2k driver is shitty, hes taking close to perfect lines and using advanced techniques like heel toe shifting, which is why he revs while slowing down.. not easy to do correctly
FlyingAce1717 4 years ago

lrusak 4 years ago
based-upon engine specs and real-life testimony; S2000 engineering may rival that of companies like Porsche ... especially when you consider the cost of purchase and ownership.

SHAME!
0m0sa 4 years ago
You're an idiot. Of course Honda makes more money than Ferrari, they're a far bigger manufacturer. Just because Ferrari makes expensive cars doesn't mean it has huge profits. Honda makes cars more people can afford... quantity of sales is were money is made.
PorscheGTthree 4 years ago 2
Great driving. After a few laps, you drove even better. But you could've made more use of the mid range torque out of corners. Unless you had a stonking great turbo, but I couldn't hear one ...
batchelorboy2007 4 years ago
Respect to the S2000 driver.
and if you gonna take your Porch to track and drive like that you may as well stay home.
