Never Alone (Susan Pevensie | After The Last Battle)

I read somewhere that CS Lewis, when asked about Susan once said "her story isn't over yet". So, it's likely that he died before he got to finish her story. It probably had something to do with redemption and such. And then there's the whole "once a king/queen of Narnia, always a king/queen of Narnia." Great video btw!

With the past three films now adapted, we see some things added that were not in the books, so there is STILL hope that Susan will recognize Narnia as a real place in the end of The Last Battle and join her siblings, despite not having believed before. However, the films do not appear to hold back from ending bittersweetly or sad somehow so there IS still a chance that Susan will NOT go to Aslan's country, but we might see a hint towards a later change of faith. I'm pretty sure it will b either.

Of all the 'Life for Susan after' videos, this is exactly how I'd imagine it to be. While the other videos show it as it would be in reality, if it was ever written/ produced it would need to be kept able for kids to watch.

Therefore I like it how she jumps from the cliff and Aslan 'saves' her, as its like when Eustace and Jill call Aslan's name, he shows them another way into Narnia. And its like how Lewis hints that Susan will find her own way back.

I just finished the entire series yesterday. Though I was sad to see Susan abandon her love for Narnia, it is a very sobering and realistic idea. And to know that Lewis didn't sum her end gives the reader much hope for her own future.

Though it would be a tragic loss for them all to die in a train accident, Lewis' intention shined through very well as he introduced on the final page that all their adventures and life before were just the cover and title page, chapter one begins now.

Giving the perfect hope that life before death really isn't anything compared to eternity in "Real Narnia", or the new Earth, or in Heaven... it's only the beginning.

I'm not quite sure why many people don't get that from the book... perhaps their grief outweighs their hope.

Last thing, I think it's important to note that Lewis did not write this as an Allegory, but as a Supposery. He wrote in a letter once, "Suppose Narnia was a real place. What would God be like there? What would Jesus be like? What would go on if there was evil in that place?"

There was much symbolism, but no allegorical intentions. Only 'supposing' that Narnia existed, how would it parallel our own world?

C.S. Lewis said Susan is no longer a friend of narnia because she "Found Lipstick, Nylons and Invitations" He is basically saying Susan found her sexuality and most likely lost her virginity, so she isnt welcome in his version of the kingdom of heaven, IE Aslan's World He makes it no secret that Narnia is a metaphor for Catholic scripture, which sees any sort of sexuality before marriage as evil, i think this BULLSHIT Susan should be welcome wearing lipstick or not! She is still a good person!

You're reading waaaay too much into it. Susan had marriage proposals when she was still a queen in Narnia, so Lewis obviously had no problem with her having an adult sexuality. The problem was that she forgot about Narnia and was more interested in going to parties and pursuing frivolous things. The nylons / lipstick stuff or whatever is just incidental to that.

Narnia is not a "metaphor for Catholic scripture" is it a world that is parallel to ours, and the things that happen there are meant to parallel what Lewis believed happened/will happen in ours eg Aslan and the stone table and Jesus and the cross.

I read the Last Battle when I was in third grade, than reread the whole series before the movies came out. I had always wondered what happened to Susan. You did an excellent job portraying her anger and the song went well with how her emotions kept getting stronger and stronger. It was sad, too. But I liked it. :)

the rest of the pevensies die in a train crash and they go to aslan's country. peter says that susan 'is no longer a friend of narnia' and we never find out what happens to susan. lewis said he was going to finish susan's story, but he died before he got around to writing it. now it's just speculation. i hope that makes sense.
