It was part of his way of teaching. During that 10 seconds you were waiting expectantly. You stopped your mind's constant chatter. That's a beginning.
our world is so full of activity and noise .it would be enough if we could just be,so we could act from a field of non-acting.meditation bring you closer to see the world without judge it
You don't walk with the hands. They are so useful, so necessary, but you keep walking with the hands. The hands are so useful for certain tasks. But feet are needed to walk with. Meditation grounds you to the Existence. And for that, mind is not necessary. For being happy, you don't need mind. For experience the true Ecstasy of Living, in any single present moment, you don't need mind.Mind is useful for certain tasks, but ...you are not it. Meditation reveals and makes u experience Yourself
@gustavonarez first of all, meditation isn't just sitting on the floor indian style, that's just one format,it's anything that directs consciousness within and makes it aware of itself, rather than consciousness constantly being bombarded from what the five senses are receiving.it's a way of relaxing the brain to reduce stress and axiety
@gustavonarez Just try it, no one can awnser you on this question
Sit comfortly, take a deep breath, let go everything, do nothing, try not to reach any goals, just breath in and breath out, letting go everything, thoughts com, thoughts go, see them, don't grab them, like sitting on a station, trains come and go....
There are so many ways to meditate, follow your inner feeling in that, your inner guru, good luck, have fun, om namah shivay!
You have never experienced it if you have to ask that question. I believe very, very few people know what meditation is or you would have everyone talking about it. The true experience of meditation is a bliss that cannot be put into words.

Nature is of God not an evolving entity of it self. God and meditation on God and his word will be sufficent for eternity.
